Hi Guys,
I just signed up because I had a question.
On saturday, I bought a vape (finally of smoking cigarettes for about a year and a half), at warped tour.
I figured hey, this is my chance so why not try it out and see if I like it.

I enjoy it very much, but I am wondering if mine is "legitimate".

I will attach a picture of the vape and charger it came with.

Even if its a fake, the thing gives me a enjoyable hit. I just hope its, so to say, safe.

I don't know much about vaping at all.

I also got a 18mg 10ml bottle of juice apple flavor. Gives me a nice throat kick.

Thank you all!

Ego is a class of battery, not a "brand" name. Many manufacturers make an eGo battery. The better brand name companies are the Vision Spinner and Joytech Twist.

Use a USB/wall adaptor to plug your charger into, not a computer USB port or car's USB port. Those two could have too little or too much voltage for either the battery or the charger.

The tank on top of the battery appears to be an Innokin iClear 16 clearomizer. The coil/wick assembly will eventually need to be replace ($3) between a typical 10 - 20 day period when the flavor will begin to taste burnt. The replacement coil/wick assembly can be accessed by removing the base and unscrewing the original assembly.

That makes much more sense. Thank you for explaining about the battery. I also figured a computer charger wouldn't give enough voltage. Other than that, it charges fine, I can't seem to let myself go for a little bit and let the battery charge on my wall because its so enjoyable to use! I will have to look into different tanks and stuff to get it lasting longer. Thank you for explaining it all for me!

They even make some batteries that you can still vape while charging!! They call this charging system that allows that a pass through charging system. I'm not sure of any ego types have it but I know the mvp2 box mod has it as well as the dna mods. If your interested you can Google mvp2, or dna 30. Hope this helps. Have fun and enjoy!!

They do have ego style batteries with passthrough charging. My itaste Clk has pass though and I believe that my eGo-C does as well but I've never tested it outm

Second battery I bought was an ego-t with usb pass through on the bottom, they can be found for $10-$15 on ebay. I dont think this guy is ready to drop dna money lol.

To the OP: Take my advice, skip the ego phase and pick up an mvp2. I bought several different ego batteries because I didn't think I wanted to vape from a big box, but honestly it's smaller than it looks and the box thing isnt a big deal. I've had my mvp2 for about a month and love it, can't wait until I put aside enough cash for a dna.

I recently got my first topper with the dangling wicks as well as an Aspire CE5 BDC (lingo lingo, the BDC is "bottom dual coil") style clearomizer, and I vastly prefer the CE5. Just in case you get some goodies any time soon.

But yeah, if you find yourself using it enough, you'll definitely want some spare batteries and tanks.

Fake, shmake, what works, works! :)

It's eGo style so you'll be able to find parts and pieces easily. "eGo" is more a standard than anything so you're not stuck with any one vendor. I'd definitely get a second battery (so you can charge one while using the other) and a "wall wart" so you don't have to use a USB port. They're cheap. I picked up a no name off Amazon myself. Just be sure the output is rated 1 amp or more. Something capable of charging iPads and other tablets. Phone charger wall warts don't always have enough power to drive the battery charger.

Super off topic.. But who did you see at Warped Tour? :D

I tried to see as much as I could!
But I saw Attila (first time though, my friend said the crowd was crazy--it was), Ice Nine Kills, Crown the Empire, Born of Osiris, The Ghost Inside, The Devil Wears Prada, Watsky, Crizzly, got to see a little bit of Of Mice & Men (so many people where there but I had to leave warped at that time because it was late). I also saw Terror and Breathe Carolina. Overall it was such a fun experience for the first time. I have to get into more concerts and such because I don't really go to them, I forgot how fun they were! :2cool: Very fun for my first, now for the next time I know what to do (and not be so lost)! :headbang:

Sounds like a good time! I haven't gone to Warped these past 2 years, but before that, I had gone four years in a row
