I have watched video reviews of the kgo which helped in my decision to purchase, I do notice that when I press the button I get the loud crackling or hiss of the vaping but the sounds crackling sound drops off almost immediately to where I can barely hear it. In the videos I hear the crackling sound and it never drops off and maintains just as loud through the whole pull. Is this because I am using one of the pre filled cartos? Or is this something else. I charged the battery until the light was green on the adapter, so I would imagine the battery is as charged as its gonna get... Thoughts?

Which prefilled do you have. Mine snap, crackle, and pop, but I'm using a 2ohm carto so it gets hotter.
this is what the package shipped with...

Package contents:

2 batteries 1100mAh NOW WITH 5 CLICK BUTTON PROTECTION! 1.5ohm capable, Silver trim.

2pcs 2.0ohm LR atomizer

6 pre-filled cartridges:

Rubberized Black and Chrome Pre-filled w/USA Mix

1 USB charger (420mAh charge rate)

1 USB wall adaptor

2 Bigbore cone

1 instruction booklet

If I am reading what you have corretly you are not using cartos (aka-cartomizer) but the cartridges and atomizer which came with the kit? These are two different setups. Not saying that what you have is bad, or not working properly, but in most videos I have seen, cartomizers are used most frequently (not atty and cartridge).

I would not worry about the sound so much. As long as it is firing, you are getting vapor and it does not taste burnt you are OK.

First off thanks for the responses..

Ok, I think I get it now...

I still have on order

PRE PUNCHED REPLACEMENT TANK CARTOMIZERS
DUAL COIL CARTOMIZER TANK
and some ejuice...

And yes it is firing and I am getting vapor and it's not tasting burned, I think I just expected a bit more vapor than I am getting..

I just got my KGO today... 2:00pm. The directions, as well as one of the video reviews I watched indicated the battery should be charged for a full 8 hours.... Then the unit vaped for 20 minutes.... Then hooked back up to the charge for another hour. This time line was regardless of the light on the battery turning green so mine is on the charger for another 1 hr 45 min.

Did you follow this? If not, do you think the battery might not be fully charged?

Like I said... I just got mine today so I dunno.

I read all of the same info as well, but I also had a user in another thread tell me this:

There's no logical reason to have to charge it beyond when the charger LED turns green. The chargers for Li-Ion batteries do not (or at least should never) keep charging a battery after it's fully charged. Moreover, they do not have "memory".

In my experience, I "charged" one battery for 8 hours and the other one I used immediately after the light turned green - no difference in the long run.
What do I know, I'm a total noob...

@spw11. The only thing I can tell you from experience is this: I bought 2 KGO kits, about a week apart... so the first kit that arrived, I followed the charging instructions to a T. The second kit, 1 batt was charged the same and one was not ( I put it on the charger and it was indicating full charge status via the green light, so I took it off). Out of the 4 batts, there is absolutely no difference in performance, holding a charge, taking a charge, etc... whatsoever. I have read on this forum that the recommendation for charging the KGO batt (8 hours, vape 20 mins, back on charger 1 hour) is not necessary as this type of battery does not have a "memory" and once it is charged does not "continue to charge" longer or better. Hope this helps.

So I did the exact same thing... Two KGO week apart followed directions carefully with one not with other and... All the same same to me :) Hope you enjoy it!!

I did the same thing - when my kGo arrived, I vaped one until it flashed at me and charged the other following the 8h on, vape 20min, charge another hour direction. I honestly have no idea which battery is which at this point as they both perform well, and there is no noticeable difference in battery life between the two.

Happy vaping!

Hi all.
Kgo fan here.
Re: battery instructions.
The battery instructions that come with kgo are wrong! Please see ECF Battery Truth sticky under Battery Issues for detailed explanation. The kgo instructions were written for the old Ni-cad batteries. What we have is a li-ion battery.
Bottom line: when charger turns green it's done.
Happy vaping. Love my kgo+Boge LR 2.0 cartomizers.
