Can I store my e-cig in the PCC all day, or will that be detrimental (to either the cig or the PCC)? I'm just noticing how much more vapor I get when I first take it off the charger, and I thought I'd like to just keep it in there all the time. Concerning the vapor, has anyone else noticed really good vapor just after charging, then quickly dimishing to "decent vapor" within a couple puffs? I have a 510, by the way.

It shouldn't hurt the battery at all. Lithium-Ion batteries don't diminish capacity by being recharged before discharged, like other batteries.

My 510 gives great vapor right up until about 3 puffs before the battery dies, and goes all blinky. :)

What you might be experiencing is the atomizer being soaked by having the cart upside on top while in the PCC. This allows the atty to soak up juice, so you're likely to get a good puff right off the bat.

To improve wicking, I highly recommend the Lipton Diamond Tea Bag method. I've been using them since about day 3, and there's simply no comparison to the standard cart filler. Capacity is MUCH higher as well.

The only thing I've seen mentioned on that and it makes some sense, was that once the internal batt gets low (say on your 4th or 5th ecig batt recharge) it's best to take the ecig batt out or the PCC may drain what charge is in the last one. When the middle red light comes on the internal batt is close to needing recharged.
