I created a shipping label on line at USPS.com. Saved a copy to a file. E-mailed the file to the sender. Sender prints label and ships. Can do UPS also.

Do this, but instead of saving it, print it yourself, put it into an envelope addressed to whomever needs it. Send it to them.

im thinking ill just give her my PP card info so she can use it to buy the postage. i never keep funds in the account unless im buying something anyways.

Sounds like a good idea. I've never used paypal for postage, but my dad and I do share 1 account. He also lives about a 3 hour drive away. :)

I'm calling total BS on your post office! What's the difference twix my printer or person B's? twitch.gif

The procedure I listed in my first post is the one I used to have a guitar shipped to me.

As long as you have the originating and destination addresses properly listed, what you want to do will work just fine.

You can save the graphic to a file (screen-shotting it is possible as well) and email it to the sender, and let her print it out on her end; or print it out here and mail it to her. The PS gave you the wrong information. The 2-D barcode is designed to get the package from sender location to receiver location in an automated manner. As long as it's sent from the right place (generally-speaking), and the destination address (yours) is correct, it'll get to you.

I don't know about that. What's to prevent someone from doing that and sending it to 20 people?

from what i understand, nothing, even if i print it out, what is to stop me from making 20 scans of it and sending them out to everyone. im pretty sure that since it's a digital image, i can just save and email it.

The barcode on the shipping label is scannable by the post office only once so it will work fine . You cant use multiple copys because only the shipping label thats scanned by the post office will work . Even paypal shipping will let you print as many of the label you want but only one copy can be scanned to work .If you try to use a copy after already shipping with it when they scan it at the post office into the system it will just read invalid .

pay for the shipping online through paypal multiorder shipping or do it on usps.com . Then print to file . Send file to other person through email and that person prints it out and puts it on the package . Then just bring it to a post office and they just take and scan it to go out . This does work and you wont have a problem . You also dont have to wait in line at the post office ,just give it to them and go . If its priority mail you can just hand it to the mailman and save a trip to the post office .

Note: Make sure the person making the shipping label makes them as the ship to address and you as the ship from address .
