question about power source.. .

if i wanted to make pretty basic mod that didn't want to use batteries, could i wire my 510 connection (auto switch) straight into a plug in for the wall?

im wanting to take a regular hookah and mod it
im just not good at the electricity part

im wanting to make this for when i have people come over i can have them taste juices and sit and socialize just like a regular hookah
once upon a time i saw a "box mod" that had a hose but didn't have money to buy it, now im getting into making my own things so...

lol edit: so decided im going to get a "usb plasma ball with 4 usb ports" and just use passthroughs that way it looks neat and serves my purpose would still like to know if your able to wire it directly to a plug in or not

U can wire up Old usb cords to a switch and a 510 connection to make your own pass through device. You would be stuck at one voltage though. 5 volts for each USB connection. Just use the black and the red wire in the USB the other two can be clipped and unused. You can even cover this wire in cloth to make it appear as a hookah hose.

You also need to be mindful of the current supply capacity of the power supply.

Just get a wall adapter. It converts AC to DC for you. You can get them for less than $2.

Is there info somewhere on how they use old computer power supplies. I know a lot about building computers and have a ton of those laying around. My main question is which connectors are they wiring it to the mod. The 4 pin connector? The bigger motherboard connector? A floppy disk connector? Or something else

I believe the main connector has 5v outputs. Or you could use the 12v and buck down.

Edit: Drive power connectors have 5v and 12v also.
