Question about refilling cartomizer

I have had my Nebula(KR808D-1) for about a week. I have been refilling the cartomizers using the “easy” method by dripping about 7-11 drops through the battery hole end (not the mouthpiece end) and it seems to be working satisfactory. However, it seems like most people refill the cartomizers by taking off the white mouthpiece and silicone washer and dripping directly onto the foam-like material. My question is what are the benefits to spending the extra time and effort refill the cartomizer using the second method as opposed to the “easier” method.

I haven't tried your method - I made a little tool from a rug-making hook (just had to grind the end down to turn the "U" into a short 90-degree bend) and it pops the plastic end off easily. I would imagine the main benefit is that you can see when the batting is saturated and not overfill, and also inspect the condition of the batting.

I've seen people using these to pry off the mouth piece...

Mine only cost a couple of quid for two pairs (one straight, one bent).

The main benefit to me is that if you fill in the top, you can add a lot more and it will last longer...a lot longer. There is a thread in the vapor4life forum where one person filled it with some drops and then put it in a battery bag and swung it above her head and did this a couple of times and she got like 30 drops in!! That is like a brand new cart and would last a long time!
