Hello all, Jeff here.

Since I'm awaiting my verification I am going to post this here...

...I currently have the Ego-C "tank" system, but I am looking into getting a real Carto tank.

I'm possibly going to get the Ego-C Twist battery and was wondering what would be the best, price really doesn't matter. I want quality, Carto tank that would go well with either the Ego-C battery or Ego-C Twist batter?

Anything would be helpful.

Thank you in advanced.

;)

Hi Jeff and welcome to ECF. Unfortunately the major carto makers, Boge and Smok Tech, are having QC issues so it's really hit and miss with them. Lottsa of people switching to clearomizers- Stardust or Vivi Nova- I tried both and they both vaped the same- only diff is the SD looked nicer. If you do buy the clearo make absolute sure you get the latest Long Wick rebuildable clearos- when the old head (wick+ element) is dead just unscrew and screw in new head- takes about 10 secs. Flavored will be muted though. Some are raving about bottom coil clearos but I haven't tried them. I still occasionally use carto+ tank but the cartos are the older version and vape great.
Good Luck.

Aside from the rebuildables, this tank is SO easy to use (it's a carto tank) that I'm thinking of ordering the size I should have ordered in the first place:

Triple V Jumbo - 5ml Tank

The are polypropylene, which means no juices will harm them, and they have a screw (you choose the color!) that lets you fill it without otherwise disturbing it, which is a HUGE advantage over my beautiful sand-blasted pyrex Phiniac tank.

So if I get another tank, sadly, it will be this one in the link.

I switched to the vivi nova for the time being, but FWIW, I'm looking forward to trying some ikenvape fusion 801s. From the research I've done, I think the Delrin Cartomator tank ($20) seems like the best bang for your buck, but I haven't used it yet. I like my DCT okay for when I got it……and it works for $5, but if the fusions are as good as people are saying, I'll be buying a Cartomator for them.

My 2p, I love my Vivi Nova, especially now I've recoiled and cottoned it!
Mine leaks up into the area below the mouthpiece (and hence, later, onto my battery) if I set it down for more than 1 minute. My roommate has the mini-nova and it never leaks, even getting thrown around in her purse.

We've noticed the cap is different (female instead of male, though that should not matter) and of course the whole thing is smaller, maybe leaving less room for the juice to sneak around at the top.

But the mini-nova only comes in 2.4 ohms.

How are y'all managing to love the regular-sized Nova? If I can hold it all the time, or put it into a pencil holder, or a holster (*), then it is my favorite, but since that is getting to be a bit of a PITA I'm leaning towards a $10 polypro tank with filling hole + screw that I mentioned above.

* (I bought a nifty bamboo utensils kit with holster from REI and moved the utensils to a ziploc, using the holster for my PV)

You can put whatever heads you want on the mini. I use 1.8 on both mini and full size.

And while some juice does end up right below the mouthpiece on mine, I've never had it go anywhere else. I just shove a rolled-up paper towel in there about once a day when I'm topping it off.

Hmm, if you're talking about the regular size, the drip tip is the only likely remaining difference. I'm using the black one they shipped with it I think.

Both of them seem to act exactly the same. Other than the size and the male vs. female thread thing, the only difference is that my mini feels like it's made worse.

And I get the same drips b/t the drip tip and the top cap more or less regardless of which drip tip I use………I think it might just be condensation.

No because it's worse when I *don't* vape it. And it is EXACTLY the color of whatever e-liquid I have in there.

But I just got my "Blaster" knucklehead drip tips and I notice they're quite a bit longer on the bottom than all the others
I have so I'll try those.

I wonder if I can mod it with a silicone washer or gasket or something from the plumbing store?

Yeah Berylanna, what those guys said. All three of the replaceable coils (1.8Ω, 2.4Ω, 2.8Ω) for the Vivi Nova fit the Vivi Nova Mini just fine. I regularly use both and couldn't be happier with them. Mine have never leaked, taste great to me and couldn't be easier fill, clean, rebuild. I like the Vision Stardust Rebuildable Clearomizer as well for essentially the same reasons. I've never had any issue with juice or moisture build-up the tips of an of these either. Other than perhaps choosing some other tank for some aesthetic reasons, I personally see no reason to buy any other type of tank. The Nova looks good on my big mods, the Mini looks fine on my eGo Twists and the Stardust looks like it was made for the Twists.

I agree with everything everybody is saying except the leaking part. Mine do NOT leak outside the device, which is more than I can say about some other things, and I love them, but I have to carry tissues everywhere with me.

However, I have had 'way less trouble since I put a Blaster tip on the Nova -- a change that I cannot make to the Stardust. So I might experiment with actually laying the Nova down instead of keeping it in a pencil holder and see how much improvement I get there.

BLASTER Adjustable Drip Tips

The Nova was leaking a lot less than the Stardust Rebuildable, and they both leak a lot less than anything but carto tanks.
