Question about VMOD

I have been using a homemade bottom feeder for a long time. I think I am going to buy a VMOD 2.

On the website it says "It's also compatible with any modern 510 cartomizer". Why doesn't it say "Atomizer"? Why would you need a cartomizer with a bottom feeder? I like the Bauway 510 LRs and would like to be able to use them on the VMOD.

Does anyone have experience with atomizers and the VMOD-2?

Yep, atties work. I use a LR 306 + universal tip so I can use any 510 drip tip I want to. I have the Vmod xl, btw

Are there any special o-rings or setup required to use a 510 LR atty?

I am looking at the 2.0, but the XL looks nice - just seems kinds large. The website doesn't really give the measurements too well. Could someone post the dimensions (HxWxL) of the XL, minus the atty?

Also - Are the Silos carts any good? I normally use a 1.5 LR - how do you like the 1.8 Silo?

Had to run to the garage for a tape measure. 4 5/8 tall at nose cone, 1 3/4 wide. That is with the LR 306 in. Standard atty would just add your drip tip height. No O-rings needed - they are part of the design. Never tried their atty/cart - I like the LR 1.5 ohm 306 - lotsa vapor/flavor

My Vmod 2.0 works great but has a small learning curve. Their hybrid 2.0 ohm attys work great but once I get my vid up on it you should watch it as I show a way to fill the bottle without taking it off. When you take it off about two times the threads become ruined and you need a new bottle.

One thing to be aware of is that dual coil atomizers don't seem to feed on it. Other than that, everything else seems to work in one way or another.

Just got my 2.0 today. When I removed the ring (that goes around the bottom of the atty) there was an o-ring kinda jammed in there - kinked up and in no particular place. There was an o-ring on the ring as well. Cannot tell if this is an extra o-ring or if it was just installed improperly. In the pic below you can barely see the o-ring inside the chamber.

Is this supposed to be installed inside the chamber somewhere or is it just an extra they included?

Has anyone ever figured out the actual size of the o-rings this thing uses? Seems like you would want to have a few extras on hand.
