I did not grow up here. My folks moved to south Texas (about 60 miles south of houston, near the coast) for plant jobs. When they retired they built a house on the lake near here. I had bounced around up to north and later to central Texas, but they made me an offer I couldn't refuse... they bought me a house so I could live nearby. I've been here ever since, 8 years this month.

(I see I took too long again, so I'll answer Trish as well: I have zero dogs currently)

I have made you this lovely, delicious green smoothie made with spinach and other fresh greens, pineapple juice and assorted fruit. I made you this because I love you and want you to to have something healthy as well as yummy. Will you drink it?

This is such a tough question really. After I was 16 I never really dated but went into relationships almost immediately. If a date night with a husband counts, here goes.

My ex is a tax accountant and he did a favor for a co-worker. The co-worker managed to get 4 tickets to the Pirates of Penzance on Broadway as thank you gift. The show starred Kevin Kline and Linda Rondstadt. My ex and I originally started to watch it in Central Park during that summer but we were rained out so this was going to be super cool. It was double date. with his co-worker and his girlfriend.

We went out for a wonderful Indian dinner prior to the show and then we went to the theater. It turned out that the tickets were orchestra center, row 3. All during the performance, we had actors and actresses coming into the seating area, and a few times I had Kevin Kline performing next to me. Sighhhhhhhhh... But that isn't the only thing that made this such a cool "date". We discovered during intermission, John Belushi and Danny Aykroyd were a few rows behind us as was the group Kiss! At intermission Belushi was in the hallway and he was being flooded with fans wanting his autograph. Danny Aykroyd was hiding in the back area of the hallway. lol! The woman that we were on the double date with wanted to meet Belushi and was too shy. My ex took her over, introduced her to John and John looked at my ex, like, am I supposed to know you? lol! I then went over to John just to tell him how much I appreciated his work, he looked into my eyes, grabbed my hand and didn't stop shaking it and kept saying thank you. I actually had to pull away when the bell rang reminding everyone to be reseated.

So that was my most favorite date. :)

Do you ever make New Year resolutions? And more importantly, if you've kept any, name one. :)

DNC:
Bluedove, I grew up in Bay City, and lived a while in Lake Jackson & Alvin! Wish so much I was 'home' too! There's no place like it.

I had many but the first one that popped into my mind was of my mom and myself going to a beach club on Long Island that we belonged to. We drove in her 1960 Pontiac Catalina along a causway doing close to 100 miles an hour, the music blasting from the radio. Songs like Witch Doctor, Beep Beep and other fun songs playing. :)

When was the happiest time in your life?
