~dnc~ we have an odd family tradition of listening to Alice's Restaurant on Thanksgiving Day since 1986...so once we started traveling on Thanksgiving we bought the cd. All 3 boys have known the words since they old enough to sing along. lol - It's a little sick to hear a 3 year old yelling "kill, kill, kill" from the back seat!

We didn't watch movies over and over when I was a kid lol- dad didn't buy our first betamax until I was in high school...but the movie I could have watched over and over was The Sound of Music.

My family (not DH & I's) has an odd tradition of starting Thanksgiving dinner with a course of chicken noodle soup. The soup is made with a whole chicken (bones and all) and carrots and celery etc. cooked and then blended into a broth. Completely smooth except for the homemade noodles. It's very thick and yummy. (Because we go to DH's family for Thanksgiving my sister made it for me for Halloween this year )...

I make frittata for Christmas lunch even though technically I don't celebrate it. It's my mom's favorite dish, so I make it.
