I'm a graphic artist by profession - I use a computer, so some would call that a 'craft' rather than art. I also make jewelry & do costumes and makeup. Maybe I'm crafty rather than talented lol.
I dont know if this quite fits as a practical joke but I was having a necessary formal affair and the people coming over were about as dry as any one group could possible be, so I went to Walmart the day before and found just what I needed.
It took quite a while for someone to make a small gesture toward the crystal cabinet but eventually throughout the evening several spotted "it" nestled between two decanters. They never mentioned it to me, but I was quite proud of my brand new Mr. Potato Head in formal attire.

I believe my first allowance was 25 cents and eventually reached $2.00 when I was 12. After that I babysat, tutored and at 15 got a good paying part time job.

Ha ha, brings back memories! Remember those knit elasticy tube tops women used to wear? When I was very young, I used to wear them as skirts so I could hang by my knees on the monkey bars, and my panties wouldn't show.
Do you remember who your first date and your first kiss was from?
in college i started working at a restaurant. everyone there was also typical college age kids. at the end of the shift, i got to talking with a guy who'd been there a long time. he asked me what i thought of the job. i said i loved it, and the people seemed very cool. as the conversation progressed, we got to talking about the girls working there, and i mentioned that one particular girl was very friendly, really good on the job, and had a great figure, but her face was so unattractive.
