So I absolutely love the TV Kretek... I've tried Boston Creme Pie (which is really REALLY good too), Irish Cream (eh... I should've gotten sweetener), Earl Grey (Yum), Biscotti (Yuck), Butter Rum (Oh my gawd yes tis good), Geoff's Blend (Once I had it made with a little less cinnamin on request... THAT was AMAZING)... But ultimately... I always find myself returning to my first purchase ever. The purchase that truly got me away from cigarettes -> enter Kretek. I have a problem though... The flavor RAPIDLY changes from the initial 24 hours of use on a new atomizer.
So I was curious has anyone tried buying some PG and like... Thinning the Kretek down a bit? Success or... ?

Well what I mean by changes is that when I first load up a fresh atomizer and start using kretek it tastes more full... Like all the flavors come out then as I start using it ... It becomes.. How to say, swampy. It's still tolerable and but I can't notice the flavor much except that I still get the tongue numbing sensation of the clove. I usually at this point will run the atty under some tap water, blow it out, dry burn it than repeat one more time and then reload it and it'll taste fresh and full for a few drags then eventually return to a dull flavor. -_- Any suggestions Geoff m'boy? :[ Cause it's so good I wouldn't mind it being a little lighter in color and flavor if it just stay like that fresh and full taste in the beginning... Hell if it could just stay like that for a week I'd be the happiest man alive... And not the usual, which usually is 24 hours for me. -_-

Is it possible you are flooding your atomizers?

I'm not a clove/Kretek fan but I know with flavors I do love when flavor and vapor drop off it is often because I've flooded the atty.

I could be wrong, but instead of going through a cleaning and dry burn thing, maybe just try removing the atty and blowing it out on a paper towel. If you see a bunch of liquid, that means you've flooded it. (And you probably know that by blowing it out I mean put a paper towel under the end that connects to the battery and then using your mouth to blow from the end you vape from).

Good luck, hope you get it figured out!

Not to go off topic, but you guys think it tastes ANYTHING like a clove? Reason I ask is I tried a different juice manufacturer when I first started out, and their mint choc chip tasted good, but the kretek was absolutely horrible. So much that I was curious as to whether or not ANYBODY is close to a clove. I'm not even sure the people who made it would know a clove if it hit them in the mouth, while lit, with a headwind. Curious if TV's closer, as that other company was worlds away.

Trust me, Tasty Vapor is the only vendor out of several I have tried that gets it right. The only problem is its not the flooding of the atty problem for me. What I meant by swampy is that you can't taste all of the original flavor (a greater deal) than say, something like butter rum, if you were to let butter rum sit in an atty over night it won't really change much. But with Kretek you have to just GO with it while its fresh in a clean atty. Cause I've tried loading up Kretek in an atty and letting it sit... Something about either the oxygen or something just hardens it and it becomes really gunky and thats when the flavor just isnt the same. So I'm going to try some experiments here in the future with it - going to try thinning it out and see if (even if the flavor is lighter by doing this) if the flavor will stay fresher longer. Thank you all who have responded so far. Keep the conversation coming about Kretek! I need all Kretek clove vaping fans out there to throw me a frickin' bone here!
