So i am an electrician and am looking for my first APV I am currently using Ego twists and VIVI Nova cleromizers. I am wondering what other construction workers are using on the job, im intersted in hearing about durability, how clean the insides stay as far as dust and debris and battery life. Also what do you use for juice delivery? And last but not least how do you carry it? Tool bags, pocket....

Thanks in advance

I work for a general contractor. On a normal day I use the 1000 mah Twist, and I just picked up a DID clone RAT.

I normally don't carry my e cig around while doing a job, it depends on what I'm doin'. I've snapped batteries in half bending over and dropped them from scissor lifts. I'll carry the ecig to the spot in my pocket, then just find a stationary spot for it to rest until I move. Or if I have a carrying type tool bag, there is usually a flashlight slot or somethin' I'll stick it in.

I do have a DIY leather Ego lanyard with a clip. I don't find it very useful though. It still get smacked, crushed and whatnot. Being I also have a CCW, I find it annoying carry all that at once.

Great question Turbo. I'm going back to work soon and this is a big concern. I'm planning on using my ego twists with mini novas. Figure if they're on a lanyard and tucked in the top pocket of my carhartts they might be ok. We shall see.
Seriously considering buying a Smoktek Varicool Beast though. It's only a plastic box but thinking I might either duct tape the heck out of it or maybe build an aluminum shell for it.

Im a carpenter,I carry my ego battery with a clearomizer on it in a "10 round "paintball tube.Fits perfectly with a 650 twist or standard 1000.
In my pocket, then into my pouch, easy to get at and havent broken one yet.Keeps the dust out too.
You can get them on ebay if your town doesnt have a paintball shop, there like 75 cents each (ebay you buy in ten lots or similar)

I was thinking something along the same lines. Maybe one of those plastic two piece tubes expensive large drill bits come in.

I'm a communications tower climber. I live most of the day a 500 + feet in the air. I carry a 1000mah Twist with a mom and pop mini sub tank with a boge 3.0 cardo. I carry it in a Nite Ize flash light holster. They clip on your belt and are very durable. Also the belt clip is wide enough to clip over a standard size tool belt.

Those are some great ideas. I make gun holsters out of kydex so I could try to whip something up. It just seams a little much.

How do people react on the job to your PV? I have been out on disability for a jacked up elbow and am going back to work in a few weeks so I'm a little nervous about the reactions. You know the its a crack pipe....... the usual trade talk.

Electrician here myself. For me, the ONLY thing to have at work is an ego twist. I accidentally ran over mine with an 80 ton boom lift on a gravel road two weeks ago. Picked it up and noticed that my finish was scratched and slightly dented. Still vapes and charges perfectly. When I ran over it, I had an eGo LR atty on it. I mostly use clearos now. Not sure if then would hold up to an 80 ton lift though.

eGo Twists have made a believer out of me. Besides, if I ran over my ProVari, still working or not, I would be sick.

Another thought is that the eGos are smaller and easier to carry a couple around at a time.

LOL. That's one hella testimonial for twists! Pretty sure I'll be leaving the ProV in my room.

Another tough question for me is do I use my ego twists or chance taking the Provari on the jobsite? Provari is definitely more durable, no worries about dropping it, but what if I drop it where I can't retrieve the 200 dollar mf'er?
I know what you mean I lost an IPod down a 50 foot exterior wall years ago. The only way I would have gotten it is cut finished walls open, and that wasn't in the cards.
I'll probably stick with the twists at work they are cheep to replace if anything does happen.

Exactly. I've lost torpedo levels, tape measures, packs of smokes, etc in just that scenario. I know...butter fingers or what eh? Think the ProV will stay safely away from the jobsite. So consensus seems to be twists huh? Anybody use RBA's? Wonder what the sturdiest of that bunch are.

Tripple digits half way to home
Check into a pair of pants made by 5.11, Their called taclite pros. I have to wear a uniform everyday so no work like you do, but the pants are really comfy, cool in the summer, offer knee pad slots built inside them if you need them (I wear em when I go to the range and have to shoot kneeling), and the plus part is they got pockets that are the right size for my eGo, kGo or Vmax. Never droped one yet.

Most durable RBA is ody or Penelope IMO. Don't leak don't break if ya drop em(the ceramics on the side might get cracked). They Vape like a dream. I won't ever go back to any chinease Atty or carto again

The hard part is finding one in stock. I have looked a little and haven't found one. That and after spending that much I don't know if I would take it to work.

Some Carhartt pants have a nice little pocket on the right leg, probably made for a cellphone, that fits my Provari with a VN tank nicely. Great for at home when puttering around. Messed up the 510 connection once when I jumped in my truck though but it screwed back on no problem.
