No its not necessary but it depends on the calculator. Most can/will allow you to set water to 0%.

Water is used as a dilutent to thin the mix if necessary. Always and only use distilled water. Tap water with chlorine and the hard minerals isnt good for your attys.

Those that use a 100%vg nic base and flavoring tend to use more DW in their mixes from what I can tell. Myself being one of them. Particularly if you are using tank systems or clearomizers with your PV.

I don' t like 100%vg.
But if is 70-80%pg then i dont mind to use 20-30%vg
In this setup, what is your opinion to use or not water ?

I would not use water in your mix. I mix most of my juice around 50PG/50VG and don't use water or PGA (grain alcohol) to thin it. With my mixture I might need to in a tank, but since I direct drip or sometimes use a carto it's not needed. In my experience, unless you have a wicking problem from the thickness of the liquid I wouldn't thin it with anything. If you have a problem you can always add a few drops of distilled water to the bottle, shake it well & try again.

Best of luck & Happy vaping! :vapor:
