I'm thinking about purchasing a new Zen Cinis or Medius and I'm looking for opinions and experiences from current or former owners. What did you like about it? What did you hate about it? Are you still using it, if not, what are you using now? This will be my first high end mech purchase, I have a few clones, so I'm a bit nervous and looking for all the input that I can get. Thanks.

P.S. Yes, I'm comfortable with Genesis style atomizers, I've been using a couple of AGA-T2's for a while, I have no issue rolling ss mesh wicks or wrapping my own coils. I figured I would answer that question before it's even asked. Thanks again guys.

HI there,

I bought a 350C carto hybrid when they first came out (got the 1st release :)), and I really like it.

Here's my thing. I don't sub-ohm vape, and the carto tank doesn't lend itself to rebuilding. It's an unregulated 3.7v device so when the battery gets low, it peters out. My spinner gives me more clouds (but again, sub-ohm will do better than what I have). I find that the switch is fussy, but it doesn't ever NOT work. I don't use it much right now.

With that all being said, I love knowing that I have something that will last forever. It's built like a tank (the glass is a bit fragile but replaceable), and there are no electronics on it to go bad. If I want, I can get a 510 converter and put different juice delivery devices on it. I might be able to get a kick for it to give it a little more power. I love that it's not a mass produced, cheaply engineered product. I don't regret the $300 I paid for it. I believe it has intrinsic value even if I don't use it much.

But for everyday vaping, I prefer my 1300 mah spinner, and I will be getting a VV/VW device shortly.

So, take it for what it's worth. Others may say there are better mechs out there, and I'm sure there are. Something about buying a mech from Santa Claus (if you've ever seen Zen then you know what I'm talking about) just makes me feel good. :)

Here's the Zen owners' thread...VERY long, but you might be able to extract some nuggets within those 4K + pages. ;)

Where did you get that drip tip Alisa? Looks cool, would be one I'd use when I'm lounging watching my stories heh.

I LOVE that drip tip...unfortunately it is permanently affixed to my Zen. I can thank my very enthusiastic BF for "helping" me get it to fit, lol! :D

It's a Captivapes BDS60. They also have one a little longer (BDS90) if your battery is bigger. Mine is the perfect size for a little 16350 battery tube.

Sweet, thanks for the lead! :)

I just got my Medius tonight and so far it hits great. I got mine by first getting the DX-490, then the Z2 mini atty came today. So far I'm really liking it but I do have a few minor issues with the body itself. The switch does seem to rub a bit but works well and the switch and 510 connection loves to come loose. Other than that, I love it.
The thing is built like a tank tho I will say. I got the DX on Saturday and dropped it on the pavement on Monday. The Protank I had on it sheared off at the connector and cracked the glass. The left over connector piece came out pretty easily and other than a deep scratch or two it's perfectly fine. Brass looks good with battle scars so it's all good.
All in all it's a rock solid device so far and hits like a champ.

Here is my take on Zen. They are very well made devices. If you like genesis device, they work great. The airflow is a light compared to others but you can fix it by filling in the hole. Zen vs Zen has only one tangible difference in that you can change out the topper on the Zen two if you want to run another addy. For the prices you can get first generation Zen's at these days on the classifieds, it's hard to pass them by. Build quality is first rate. The one big flaw I see with the Zen's (and most genesis devices) is the push on top. It drove me nuts. You can fix it with extra o-rings

What do you mean by the push on top? Btw, I really like genesis atty's, I prefer my trident if I'm at home but dripping is a huge pain in the ... when you're out and about.
