anyone play and sing? have you had any bad effects on your vocal cords? my wife has been telling me my voice is loseing its punch its been over a year since i quit i was wondering if anyone else has lost range or power since useing the e-cig?
Mine has Improved greatly (singing) but after 15 months I still can't play a guitar. Only thing I've noticed is that I must keep hydrated so as not to have a dry throat.
I don't sing professionally but I sing along with the radio (or MP3s). When I smoked my voice got progressively worse. Since I've been vaping for awhile, it's much more clear and I can hit higher notes more consistently.
If you're going for a more raspy deeper voice, smoking will definitely give you that but you'll probably die sooner.
I haven't been doing vocals for awhile now since I've been vaping but I do know my airflow (lol) is particularly better than it was in general which was a big thing when singing properly.
I listen to a lot of metal music, and one of the popular deep growlers in the scene started vaping and has been able to sing so much better than when he was smoking. Said it changed his life. So if it helps when growling lol it should surely help clean vocals.
my growl and screams are better than they have ever been. but i seem to be running into problems when the venue is the kitchen table or the bon fire when i am required to just sing classic rock country type stuff seem i just cant stay in tune i have been trying to keep hydrated but you can only drink so much water. and find myself very dry at times this could be my problem. and wile we are on that subject sometime i wake up in the middle of the night so dry that i will be gaging. is there some kind of spray or lozenge that anyone has had any luck with?
But seriously, Glycerin pastels like Euphon are recommended for singers so it follows that high VG liquid might actually help lubricate the vocal chords. I run the gauntlet of musical styles 4 nights a week from jazz to country to rock and my range and power are way better since quitting smoking. The PG did dry me out so I changed to higher VG juices. Hope that helps.
Not a singer but I would imagine a higher VG would be better. I do play guitar and I don't thinking smoking cigarettes or vaping really makes a difference when or how I play. It is easier to hold a cigarette in your mouth and play then a Vaporshark that I can tell you
