For years I always ran around 40-60 watts. I recently got the Cleito 120 tank and only run it at 80-90 watts on my Sigelei Fuchai. I am using batteries rated at 20A. While vaping at 80w it shows 21 amp on the screen. Just want to know if this is safe or am I pushing the limits? Sorry again for the newbish question, but it's new territory for me and I want to make sure I'm not risking a battery malfunction. Just to let you know exact specs according to my device reading, it list it as .16 ohm, 3.63 volts and 21 amp. From what I understand, I would be good up to roughly 120 watts. Just want to ask the battery experts. I also purchased some LG HG2 3000 mah and my mod shows it as having no battery charge. Maybe a defective battery? Thanks for your help.

What is the 20 amp battery you are using?

Regulated mods separate the input and output power, one side for the battery and one side for the atomizer. What the mod is showing is the amps on the atomizer side. As long as you keep the wattage level and the coil resistance the same this value will not change, and you don't need to worry about it as the chip will let you know if this is outside the operating parameters.
What you need to be aware of is the amp draw from the battery. This will be lowest when the batteries are charged at 4.2 volts, and highest when the batteries are discharged at around 3.4 volts. Put the values into steam-engine and find your values for these two points and then make sure the batteries CDR is in excess of the lowest value.
Try varying the coil resistance in steam-engine and you will see the values changing in the atomizer box on the left, but the battery values on the right will not.
With your dual battery mod you divide the amp draw by two. Remember the coil resistance is irrelevant to the amp draw from the battery.

As a general rule a 20 amp CDR battery is good for 60 watts, so yes 120 watts with two is good.

In regards to your HG2, if it won't hold a charge then yes it's borked. Have you tried charging it?

It's likely that a new battery could be lower than normal in voltage with a storage charge, but most of the ones I've measured are around 3.6v to 3.7v. Most mods will cut off at 3.4v and tell you to replace the battery. That's vapable, but with shorter time to cutoff. It may take two or three discharges and charges to condition a new battery to deliver full vape time. That's normal with new battery break-in.
