question for suppliers: shipping to India, and chargers

Two questions I suppose. I want to send an ecig to a friend in India. There does seem to be one Indian supplier, based in Chennai/Madras, but they only have one style of ecig, and no eliquid (and don't respond to emails either). So I was thinking of having him sent one from the US.

(1) Have any of the suppliers shipped to India before, and if so, have there been any customs issues?

(2) How safe is it to use a battery-charger with an adapter? (India is 240 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second)

Don't know about the first question, but yes to the second. Australia is 240VAC/50hz and it works here. There have been reports about some chargers being more susceptible to burning themselves up at 240v, but I think that was just for one of the ultrafire chargers - not the ones used for e-cig batteries.
