dearest reonauts,

i would firstly like to apologize for my prolonged absence, this time have been used as still a fairly new vapor to be able to try products all over the spectrum, i have learned somthing through these experiences, there will always be a little bit of reo in me. Im getting ready to buy another reo to fill a whole in my heart i have created haha, so my question is. im looking for a reo again, and plan to use it out and about and know from experience the grand will do just that...But the woodvil's are so darn beautiful. since im looking for a mod i can take on long walks on the beach and dance under the moonlight with, should i go the metal route or would the wood hold up?

While I agree that the woods are beautiful, I'm not so entranced by them to get past the kind of care/maintenance that I perceive they require. My basic philosophy is to avoid things that need that level of tending. So, I'm a metal guy. I haven't done it yet, but I love that they're so well built, I could run over one with my car, and it'd be fine. I'm continually tempted to go "hey guys! watch this!" and demonstrate that, but then it would get scratched, which might make me sad.

Anyway, either way you go, it'll be sweet. Plus, if you contract the virus that so many of us have, you'll end up with both wood and metal anyway.

so it would be safe to say the wood will hold up to some outdoorsy conditions?

I'd say that depends... if you drop a metal REO on a hard surface like asphalt or concrete ground, it will cause a ding for sure, but if you drop a woodvil in the same conditions, it might crack the wood or the door :( You might get lucky and not harm the woodvil at all, but I wouldn't take that chance. Most Reonauts I know keep their Woodvils as their desk vape and take their metal REOs out with them :)

I vote Metal!

I don't think the maintenance is as involved as you may think for the wood REOs. I use a furniture polish on mine, about once a week. Wipe it on, let them sit for a few minutes, wipe it off. I use a product called Wood Right. I take my 18490s with me everywhere. Just use common sense, try not to drop them, they are built well enough that you do not have to baby them.
