I wouldn't go below 3.5 ohm with anything single core at 6v, that's still slightly above 10 watts.

The clearomizers run hot anyway, my 3.0 clearos can start to burn at just at or over 5v, they do make a 3.5ohm clearo which I haven't tried and suspect even those would be really hot or burn at 6v.

The do make a 2.5ohm Dual Core carto meant for HV vaping which might be worth a try at 6v.

What he said.

And, if you're stacking two rcr123as (16340s) to get 6 volts, you're probably getting a fair bit more than six when they first come off the charger. (I think those are 3.5 or 3.6 volts hot off the charger- soemthing like that, anyway) So in your six volt vape, you're really looking at 7 volts to start.

7 volts into 3 ohms is...16 watts, maybe?? (No calculator handy. But about that.)

I've really never vaped about 12 watts, and even that, I didn't care for. 10ish is pretty ideal for me. Anything about that gets really hot and intense.

Best,

Remember if you are stacking batteries in an unregulated device using 2 3V LIFePO4 batteries you are probably starting out a bit higher than 6 volts when you first put in the batteries. My AWs come off the charger just over 3.3 volts. That is going to fry most cartos under 3.0.

I test drove the 4, 4.5 and 5 cartos from madvapes and they all performed well a 6+ volts.
