Before I knew better, I started out with a Blu starter kit...I have two in fact. The batteries are driving me bananas.

I am about to go with KGO kit 1100mAh by SLB

I contacted Brent, who answered me quickly, which I appreciate. I plan to order extra cartos and he advised me which to purchase.

My question...if I buy a syringe to fill empty cartos, do I still need to buy drip tips? I don't know what I'm doing, as you can no doubt tell, but I am here to learn from the experts.

Drip tip is a fancy word for mouth piece. If I'm using a carto, regardless of how I filled it, I put a tip on just so I'm not sucking on the carto.. When I drip I pull the tip off to drip anyway as I don't want like getting residual juice in my draw.

I consider them decorative, and means to distance myself from a carto/atty that might run hot at 6v.. little more.

Syringes make it easier to fill large cartomizers. Most people use drip tips because it's easier to top off the cartomizer with juice. You just pull it off instead of trying to pry the little end cap off. Plus, less chance of getting juice in your mouth.

If you purchase the 1.7 cartos from CCV, he give your free syringes and drip tips. But they're pretty inexpensive.

I use the condom method to fill my Kgo cartomizers. I'm glad you went with Brent! He answered a lot of questions for me too, on the phone and with email. The cartomizers I ended up loving were the SmokeTech 1.25 dual coil XL and the 1.5 dual coil XL. I just fill up the rubber cap that came with the cartomizer with fluid and put the cartomizer on it and it sucks up the liquid. I do it 2 - 3 times and it fills up the XL carto, no need to use a syringe.

Thanks, everyone. You guys are good.:)

Who is CCV?

Brent advised me to use dual coil 1.5 or 2.0 or 3.0.

Free syringes and drip tips sound good, but not sure I should get 1.7.

You can use the 1.7 on the KGO. He probably doesn't carry them.

The drip tip is for use as a mouthpiece - cool on the lips, larger stream of vapor, easy to remove to check the stuffing or add juice.

I don't use syringes or cartos that need syringes. I use Boge cartos (the most popular cartos on 510-threaded devices) and they are 1ml cartos, easy to fill and top off with a juice bottle.

Try Hoosier's dual coil 1.5. He also has single coil 1.7. What you do need the drip tip for is testing juices if you don't want to waste a whole cartomizer on it before you know if you like it. Just put the drip tip right on the atomizer instead of the cartridges that come with it. ( I threw away the cartridges! Useless)

1.5, 1.7 and 2.0 are going to be good, but the 3.0 will be pretty mild.

Cyberwolf, I went with the 1.7 at CCV. I have learned something else. I didn't know 3.0 would be mild. I had been smoking light cigs for many years, but I've found with vaping you can get a little TOO light.

Learning as I go here, Hairball. Your avatar is adorable. We have three cats.

Thank you. He's my youngest. That was the actual picture that was in the local newspaper when he went up for adoption. My daughter couldn't live without him. Boo's just as mouthy today, at just over a year old, as he was when he was a toddler. He's the 5th edition to the hairball family. He's also the largest of my cats.

3.0ohm cartos are good at high voltages. They will really shine at 5-6V. They also aren't too horrible on slim ecigs if you like a cooler vape. If you don't like the 1.7's, you might try Boge 2.0. Not as hot but still very warm.

...just a note with the 1.7s from CCV...BE SURE they are completely filled...they hold 2ml and need every bit of it...once it is filled, leave it sit for while before vaping...these cartos run hot and if not well and truly filled, they will scorch/burn, once that happens, just toss 'em, you will never get the taste out..........
