So the istick is not spring loaded like my MVP and it's driving me crazy because it's being finiky when connecting a tank to it, namely my KFL and Lemo. My MVP and itaste vv does not have this issue as they are spring loaded. I am actually returning my istick because the 510 connection is also going out on it (apparently a common problem).

Is there a box mod, that isn't too expensive, that's close to size as the istick and simple to use with added in safety features? I also don't want to pay a ton for it. Any suggestions?

I've seen this box mod around. Is it spring loaded?

I have one and it's pretty nice but no, it's not spring loaded. That said, I've not had any problem with my atomizers--both my KFLs work well as do my RDAs. I have no basis to compare the Cloupor to the istick as don't have an istick.

You're going to have to bump up to a serious box mod to get a nice spring-loaded connector or you're going to have to wait a bit. I'd counsel on waiting a bit. There should be cheaper, smaller regulated mods appearing following the success of the istick and the high-end box mod wars.

If you want to demo the hana-style clones, you should be able to pick up a cloupor box for around $60. Check out Mount Baker Vapor and use a 10% off code w/free shipping. It's shorter but fatter than the MVP. I like mine a lot. Issues are negligible.

If you want something smaller, I'd point you in the direction of the KSD hana mini clones on FocalEcig at $40 w/free shipping. The KSD clones have a better reputation than the Fasttech minis as they've been circulating around Europe for some time and feature a replaceable 18490 battery.

Now, on the other hand, the Fasttech hana clones made by hotcig have an adjustible 510 pin (not spring loaded but screwable), yet the quality control and chip performance have not been so great. Also the FT minis feature an on-board LiPo battery back which is difficult to replace. Ordering a hotcig/Fasttech clone is like playing the lottery. Fasttech does offer 6 month warranty though.

Although you already sent it back, there is an easy fix for that. Putting a small o-ring under the 510 pin.

Can you tell me where I can find a post on how to do this? I haven't sent it back yet. It's sitting in a box to ship out today but I'll take a chance to fix it if I feel it seems legit.

IPV2 is spring loaded. Or if you want, you can wait for the mvp3.

I've been waiting for innokin to come out with something to rival the istick. The istick, while popular, does have it's flaws. eLeaf is already on reddit trying to get input on the istick v2. I am probably going to hold out for now.

I was looking at a vaporshark dna but it only has a 1300mah battery. For $120 its not worth it for me even though it has the dna chip.
