question on EM

What exactly does EM do for DIY juice?I have some that was sent to me but have no idea what to do with it.I know how to mix far as with PGA or distilled water or PG.Does it knock down the perfumey taste of some flavors?Or does it add sweetness?I tasted just a very small tiny drop on my finger and yuck.

EM stands for Ethyl Maltol. It is considered more of an additive rather than a stand-alone flavor. It mostly adds sweetness - some describe it as a Cotton Candy type of sweet. Use it very sparingly though. A little goes a long way. Many DIYers use it all the time. As for me, not so much. I bet it is pretty "Yuck" straight out of the bottle.

I use EM for sweetening up some recipes that just taste kind of flat. Like 1 drop for 3 ml's of juice

A tiny bit adds body and helps meld flavors. (approx 0.1%)
A bit more can turn a dry vape to a moister feel and cut bitter taste down. (usually somewhere between 1-0.25%)
Even more starts to add sweetness more like a candy shell kind of thing than typical sweetness.
A bunch makes a cotton candy kind of flavor

All effects are cumulative.

If it is treated more like a powerful spice than a flavoring, then it is very versatile. If used like a flavoring it is only useful as an odd sweetener.

What would you suggest for a 30ml?Maybe going by drops,my math is a bit rusty these days lol.
