So, after getting bored with most of the store bought juices I have I decided to try mixing up my own creations. I got 60mg VG, 60mg PG, PG, VG, and some assorted PA flavors to try with. My first 5 flavors were not too bad. My question lies with the exact mixing process to use, i.e. shake it up, or to stir it up? I'm making a 20mg 65%VG/35%PG juice and it seems in every bottle that the VG just doesn't want to blend very well. So, whats the best mixing approach to get oil to mix with water???:?: (figuratively speaking of course!) I'd prefer not to use distilled water or alcohol. Sugguestions or thoughts?

Cool beans!:2cool: That I can do!!! Thanks for the quick reply.
I thought people on here were crazy saying that the "sweet" flavors were so much better than the tobacco types. Boy was I WRONG. Took all of 3 days and 2 sweet samples for me to "see the light!" I've got 4 or 5 bottles of the BWB/FSUSA tobacco flavs thats going to end up in the classified section...

After about 3 months of vaping, I gave away all my tobacco juices. Just can't stand the taste anymore.

My latest all-day vape is Spearmint... mmm, mmm good.

Check out ecigexpress... they carry like 5 or 6 different MANUFACTURERS flavor lines, including Signature, Loranne, and FlavourArt. Pretty cheap, too. Nic base I get from xtremevaping.

I do an 80/20 mix pg/vg and I ALWAYS put it in a glass or bowl of hot water for about 10 min or so......(usually the so part as I get side tracked with other things:)) Warming the mix will help the vg thin out temporarily (not to mention the heat aids in the steeping process a bit too).

I find I don't have to shake it up as long if it is warm.

Good idea! Thanks for the advice.

Another stupid question... I assume since every sweet flavor I have tried to duplicate is "bland and airy tasteing" that I need to add sweetner to my juices to get them bearable?

I don't use anything hotter than I can keep my hands under. Definitely not as hot as the atty gets when vaping...I wouldn't boil it or anything, but even just taking the bottle and rolling it in the palms of your hand will warm it up and thin the vg temporarily as well.

You might find that diluting Pure VG with water greatly improves the mixing process and may even make your DIY recipes taste better. Kinda a two for one.

It's shorthand to avoid typing Ethyl Maltol from The Perfumer's Apprentice's website section called The Flavorist Apprentice all the durn time on my phone's keypad.

Is your soup clearer for ya' now?

Good, let me know what your mix is like and what your recipe was.

(Now you know some of the blasted lingo around here. I remember reading TA all the time and wondered what a teacher's assistant had to do with tobacco flavors.)

I need something to sweeten some of my juices without adding flavor like honey. Glycerin helps, but I need something stronger. I was looking for a connection from your abbreviations to the Cotton Candy suggestion. I thought maybe the Cotton Candy was an e-juice flavor from a particular vendor. Since cotton candy is basically spun sugar, I thought it might be an e-juice flavor I could blend with my flatter flavored juices.

Thanks for the explanation.

Yep, EM, aka: Cotton Candy Flavor from TPA/TFA would be a great starting point for you.

How much should be added to say a 5ml test batch? 2 or 3 drops or does it take more to make PA's Strawberry and Vanilla sweet? Right out of the bottles @ 10% flavoring the strawberry taste like a "semi-ripe" strawberry, and the vanilla is kinda more like a Capt. Black's Vanilla pipe tobacco flav. Neither are sweet... I'd like them to be more like Strawberry Preserves and Vanilla Icecream.

My first question is which Vanilla? None of the TPA flavors have just one word in the title.

If you have Vanilla Bean Ice Cream I would have 0.77ml of Vanilla Bean and 0.14ml of Cotton Candy. It is a strong and rich flavor, heavy on the strong, because that is the way I like them. Ditto on the Strawberry.

If you have the French Vanilla, Vanilla Bourbon, or Vanilla Custard, then I wouldn't know.

Correct, I have Vanilla bean and it's STRONG vanilla, but no sweetness. Same with the Strawberry. Since I have a bottle of PA's CC already I'll experiment with them. The bad thing about mixing I'm learning is what tastes good or bad fresh maybe TOTALLY different after steepage...
