I think that I have pushed the negative post up into the deck (510 connector) of the RM9 by screwing it too tightly down on the new 510 screw. I can't get it to register on my ohm meter. The pin is visibly recessed into the deck. I can make it fire OK but I am concerned that the ohm meter won't register - it has worked in the past with the RM9 and it works with other atomizers.
Can I fix this or can it be fixed at all? If Rob ever needs a hoople tester, I am board certified as a tester.

If your talking about the positive center pin at the 510 connection on the atomizer, then yes you should be able to fix it fairly easy. Most of the atomizers that I've drilled out to make bottom feed have that very center pin pressed into the deck, meaning that all you should have to do is take like the handle of a screwdriver and gently push it back down a little until enough is visible. I recommend placing the atomizer on a vise or something where it can rest under the deck and the 510 kinda hangs down unobstructed so that you can watch it as you push on the center post. If it doesn't budge gently pushing, maybe give it a tap or two and if that doesn't work, so times they actually screw in and out. But like I've said, most have all just been pressed into the deck from the bottom. Good luck, let me know if this helps.

Thank you those are very clear directions, I'll give it a shot later today.

Perfect, I moved the center pin as you described and the pin is now just a hair below the bottom of the 510. The deck drains properly and the ohm meter registers. Thank you.

How do you like the rm9? I was thinking of grabbing a vector my self as the only top air hole atty ive tried has been the rogue (rm7). My buddy has a rm7 and says its to airy for him and likes it but doesn't prefer it over his rm2. I like lots of air, but I think the vector has more options vs. the rogue rda.

I like the RM9 very much. I get plenty of air which I like. The eight air holes on top are easy to adjust from very small to nearly unrestricted. The post hoes are are large and can easily accommodate the largest diameter wire; the holes also are good for my old eyes. Flavor and vapor production are all I could ask. I have an RM7 but like the 9 better, I find it is easier to adjust the air flow and build.
Thanks to you it is easy to fix.

I forgot to mention that it is nearly leakproof. I can over squonk with impunity and it won't leak.
