I have trouble with more than 50% PG because it really skews the taste of the e-liquid for me. On the other hand I've read that some people believe that if the VG is to high they take a real hit on taste and of course throat hit. I've also read that some people get a heaviness in their chests with 100 VG so it isn't good for them. I'm sure that there are other reasons that people choose this or that percentage.

Some are highly sensitive to PG yet some love to use carto tanks which feed well with at least 70/30 or 80/20 PG/VG mixes. Everyone likes different and it depends on what you prefer to use as far as carts, clearos, tanks, tank/carts. I have been using mostly VG juices but since I use alcohol based organic flavorings they are thinned out and work well with Vivi Novas :) I guess all I can say is try stuff and see what you personally prefer.

Okay in general if we exclude people with sensitivities either on the PG side or the VG side (yes it does happen) the properties of the two compounds really effect the way a juice vapes.

Generally speaking heavy VG juices will produce a lot of vapor, and are quite thick. It is also reported that when diy-ing VG heavy juices that more flavoring agents are required.

Generally speaking PG heavy juices are thinner, wick better and provide more flavor and throat hit than VG heavy juices.

For me personally I prefer 70-60% PG. It provides the throat hit I need without additional nicotine (I'm slowly cutting it down) and in my experience work better with top coil clearomizers (Vivi Nova, Stardusts, and the like). Even though I strongly prefer bottom coil clearomizers (Kanger T3 and etc) I still like to have a higher PG content in the juice because if I vape anything much over 50% VG I get heaviness in my chest.

For me, I can't handle more than 30% PG...it's too harsh on my throat. I order PG free juices and have the understanding that it may mute flavor, so I supplement it with some flavor boost. I did just order some juices that are 70 vg/30 distilled water. The consistency looks thinner. These just arrived and are still steeping, so I'm not sure how they'll vape, but they smell good.
