good morning, i am having trouble learning more about rba's. i am thinking about getting a kraken i really like the features it has, but one thing ive seen is with geni style rba's is that you cant lay them down, which is something that happens regularly with my setups as i am always moving and such. I am trying to find out more about other styles of rba's but i am not having much luck. can anyone point me in the right direction of a non geni style RBA? and maybe shed some light on its benefits?

Thanks in advance!

The one that always comes up is the Kayfun in one of it's many iterations or clones.

That being said, I have an RSST and I could lay it down air hole up and not worry about leaking. If I were to accidentally lay it down air hole down I'd guess it would take about 10 minutes before it started dripping from the wick if at all.

sorry but I am a anti-genesis all the way - you have to be very patient to build them and to keep them working properly, they actually do not wick very well and need to be tipped and rolled like all of the top atty clearos.

I am extremely happy with my tobeco kayfun lite+ clone (the one with no logo's) - easy to build, no wicking issues (at least with my 60/40), great flavor, great vapor production - downside is you need a mini screwdriver and a needle bottle (or syringe) to fill it - the clear section is makrolon polycarbonate and I am unsure how that will work with tank "cracking" eliquids and I am not will to experiment with mine

My RSST stays at home because of the possibility of it leaking, but its just because of the possibility as it doesn't really leak on me. With that being said, my drippers are what I take with me to work because they don't leak and IMO its a better vape. But then again, you do have to drip which I bothers some people. I work at a desk and don't have a long commute so dripping is no big deal to me.

Thanks for the replies, i am looking for a good amount of vapor and good flavor also, i will look into a kayfun a little further, i tried a kraken yesterday and it was a great vape but i am worried about the laying down of it which i do often since im always moving, dripping at work is not an option even though i am at a desk, i also move around alot, hence why my RDA is home.

Maybe it isnt quite there yet but i would like to have something sub ish ohm and reliable while at work with a tank and no worries about leaking (i know all tanks have a possibility of leaking just looking for something i can trust)

I disagree. Wrapping a micro on my RSST couldn't be easier... and this is my first time rebuilding anything.

which would you guys prefer, the 3.1 or the lite?

I have a 3.1 and personally I love it. I went with the 3.1 for the adjustable airflow, which helps a ton.

I know you are looking at rebuildable, but you might want to check out a Pro3 or iClear30b. Both are bottom coil, produce decent vapor and have great flavor in my experience.

Maybe look into a bottom feeder system?

kayfun kayfun kayfun! When i firdt ventured into the RBA world, i love geni's but hated that i couldnt tip them over so i never took mine out. I also loved dripping rba's but i didnt always was drip. So i searched and met the kayfun! It solved my issue offering me both the vape of a dripping atty with the ease of a normal protank or carto tank. Tank it everywhere and i can till it any degree i want :)

any body that says an rba has wicking problems or have to constantly maintain to work properly doesnt know how to build them , i have an AC9 and an AL-1 i can clean the tank , wick , and coil in under 5 min and depending on the wick material and coil set up will last between 2-3 days for cotton/hybrid wick or 7-10 days for ss cable or ss mesh wick , the mesh will take longer to learn ( for me it took about a week ) but if you learn how to do that there are no builds you cant make it will be like running down hill , as for leaking a ss mesh set up will leak pretty quick if left on its side a cotton build i have left for 5min or more and no leaking i take mine everywhere i use a mini mag flashlight holder that i put a plug in the bottom to keep my provari from falling out the bottom just clip to my side and have never spilled juice while out and about , but try different styles to see what suits you best wheather its a kafun,rsst,AL-1, or what ever but what ever you get learn how to use it or youll be that guy that says gennies dont work well lol
