Howdy, all. I have a question regarding the size of carto required to use those nifty pyrex dct's from smok..
Some sites list a XL carto and some list a standard (or list nothing at all) I have a ton of standards and was hoping I could use them with this however I cannot find a single product description or review that states the required carto size.
I'm 'bout to pull my hair out trying to figure this out. Thanks in advance!

Almost 99% sure that they need an XL (45mm) carto.

All of the previous Smoktech tanks have used the XL carto. I'll try to find a link to confirm this.

Later Edit: The tank length is 45mm, and all the vendors state that these tanks use the Smoktech tank replacement cartos which are the XL or 45mm length. I've read at least one instance that Ikenvape cartos will not fit these tanks (carto is too wide in diameter). So it's possible that Boge XL cartos may not fit either.

I recommend getting a Slap Yo Moma tank accessory tool to aid in tank assembly and juice filling.

It looks like XL. On the My Vapor Store site, on the dct page there is a link to replacement cartos and Boge f16 is one of them.

Thank you so much. With all the brands and all the sizes I couldn't make heads or tails of it all! I'm not new to the vape I just can normally figure out this crap on my own, lol. I would get a more expensive tank but I've had one from valley view that I broke in about a month of collective use (due to it falling off my PV multiple times a day onto the concrete floor at work) so I'm going for the cheap cheap I won't feel bad about not having in 3 weeks.

I hear you about delicate, which is why I use the smok. I wouldn't say cheap as far as quality goes though.I've dropped my tanks multiple times on concrete (work tends to be hard on my setup) and this task can take a beating so I appreciate it for what it is. Oh and a huge plus one on the slap yo momma tool. Even if you are fine with the orings it really takes some of the frustration out of filling.

I used "cheap" as in I won't loose my mind if I break it in 3 weeks. Funny how I would spend $7 a day without thinking and now if I break a $10 part in 3 weeks I lose my mind....
I actually found a post where a guy is using the boges without the flange just flipping the tank upside down:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tanks/412282-review-time-smoktech-pyrex-dct-tank.html

I've used the proper cartos with the old poly tanks and I just can't stand them I had more than one where the bottom just kinda popped off when I was trying to refill the tank...gonna try to avoid that.

Ha yeah pretty ironic when you add the cost of analogs huh? I feel the same way. as far as the boge Cartos are concerned, they will fit but I highly highly recommend the tool for that. In mine they seem like a way tighter fit and the tool will save the o rings and let you get the carto in and out minus the use of an air hammer. I did try the upside down method and it worked but boge makes the f16 which has the proper flange on the bottom so I didn't see the point. For what it's worth I personally like the flavor and out put of the boges better than the XLs.

I bought one of these Smok Pyrex DCTs.. it came broken... but I tested cartos in it, it would not accept my punched cartos. The Smok carto flange didn't even fit in the cutout spot for the flange (for their own product!) in the tank LOL, but my Boge F16 cartos fit perfectly. I didn't even think to try putting one of my IKV cartos into it as I've never been able to get my hands on the flanged ones, so I can't help you there.

Basically these things have no wiggle room, I'm actually glad mine arrived with broken glass as I don't want it after finding out how unforgiving the carto hole is in this thing..

Oh well. Waiting for a response from the vendor.

i've tried ikenvape and boge XL and neither fit.....but i talked to a girl yesterday that said she had a boge in hers...
i think she was mistaken....as soon as i got home, i tried repeatedly to fit a boge...no go....get the Smok XL

i have to retract this statement.....the boge does fit...just not by my hand LMAO
