I did some research before purchasing the king and many of them were positive and one of the reasons I bought it is because of "how hard it hits" from reviews. I've currently had the king for about a month and it's performance isn't bad. I am running a dual coil .5ohms set up on a nimbus with a 18650 battery. My problem is, when I take the same atty and battery and put it in my k100. It hits way harder than the king in all aspects, whether it be flavor, vapor thickness, vapor amount or vapor temperature.
My SS king came with copper contact pins and is supposed to perform better but for some strange reason it isn't. It seems like it takes a longer time for the coils to heat up and when they do, they still can't reach the performance my k100 puts out.

So my question is, am I doing something wrong? Why is my 40 bucks mod out performing my 230 bucks mod that's supposedly one of the hardest hitting mods out there.

Please help and thanks in advance.

Edit: additional info, the k100 produces vapor consistently and immediately while the king seems to produce vapor inconsistently and when firing the button initially, it takes a few seconds before vapor appears.

I hope it's not the mod itself... I just picked up a brass one and I love it. waiting on my omega atomizer. do you use 18650 batteries? and if so, is the firing button really really short?

for me, without a battery inside, the button feels great, but once I put my batter in, I barely have to push the button and it fires. and I kind of don't like that.

The K100 is a surprisingly hard hitting little bugger. When pbusardo did his review on it, it had the 2nd best voltage drop numbers of any mech he tested. I don't know about the King, never tried one, but my K100 hits like a hammer, especially after I roughed up and noaloxed the contact points.

Have you tried a flat top? Should take a little of that action out.

Yeah I use aw 18650 batteries and sony 18650 batteries. And yeah once the battery is in I barely have to push it since the distance is so close.

Yeah, my k100 hits at least twice as hard as the king. I tried searching the web to see if anyone is having the same problem, but so far I found nothing. Hopefully someone will be able to solve my mystery.
