For crying out loud, designated vaping areas when all we exhale is basically water vapor??
Has everyone been brainwashed by the cigarette propaganda so much as to translate it to vaping too?
My hubbys family does not smoke, not any of them. Last night they all wanted to see my ecig at the easter gathering in one of thier homes. They not only wanted me to do it indoors but were raving about how good it smelled to them ( raspberry) .
This is a group of definately anti smokers !!
They were all encouraging me to use it as it smelled so good to all of them.
Give me a break on the designated areas, and stealth vaping thing.

The op took the inituative and wrote a letter and got a good response. Give him credit for that . He did a good job and he gets what he wants. Good for him!

Hiding in a corner would not have gotten this for him, nor will it prevent stupid politicians from banning it. However if businesses embrace it, and much of the population of smokers turns to it, the politicians wont have a chance to ban it.

Asking for designated vaping areas only feeds the paranoia about vaping and makes people think that there is a reason to segregate it .

The anti smoking campaign has put a lot of fear into smokers, I for one refuse to let that translate into fear about vaping. Fear never wins campaigns. Fear hides in a corner,
I dont like corners,

I apologize If I have offended anyone, I truly don't mean to,
I'll go now

An email with an imbedded video would be effective, but it would look like smoking. The introduction would have to be informative, preferably from the head of an organization that is respected as health conscious.

I think that a one on one meeting with the manager, who could convince the owners of the benefits of allowing vaping in their establishment, would be effective. We would get a lot of converts if bars, restaurants, and other gathering places would accept vapers. I agree that volume would increase in any establishment that allowed vaping.

You would always have people who don't want to understand why anyone wants to blow smoke or vapor out of their mouth. Those people are the ones who complained in the first place. I'm sure most of you have encountered them before when restaurants had smoking areas. They are the ones who asked for "next available" to get seated earlier and complained when someone lit up next to them in the smoking area. The conversation goes like this, "Oh, I can't stand smoke. Would you mind putting that out?" "No, did you ask for non-smoking?" "No, we asked for next available!" "Ok, well, your area is over there ... this is the smoking area." (Like they didn't already know that)
