Hi, firstly fantastic forum, I have gone from seeing one article on Gamuci last week to discovering a whole world of e-cigarettes/cartridges/e-liquid/dripping etc and so many different brands after finding this place.
Thank you all.

Now I have searched and read extensively however I have a couple of queries that I can't find the answer to.

1. Based on the info here I have decided to go for the Janty Classic from http://www.ruyanxpress.com/
Can any of the EU and/or Schengen Country residents confirm whether our stuff is posted from the Netherlands or China?

2. What syringe size is needed/best to refill cartridges, 2ml/5ml? Also is a 23gauge blue needle adequate (I don't know if the needle is small enough or how viscous the liquid is)?

3. UK residents only - Have those of you who have bought e-liquid from either http://www.euro-e-cigarette.eu/ or other DUTCH shops had any problems with UK customs and excise?

4.Has anyone successfully used any of the cartridges on http://www.euro-e-cigarette.eu/ with a Janty Classic? If so which ones?

OK, sorry and thanks.

Hi Sarahjane,
I'm a relative newbie but I'll tackle #2 partially cause I had similar questions re: needles, syringes and bottles. However didn't find answers except for one from jimldk. Here's an extract from jimldk "...just any bigger capacity syringe will do..just don't buy the smaller capacity like 10ml or 5ml type for extracting purposes. if for refilling cartridges then you need either 3ml or 5ml version."

I took a chance and ordered 18 gauge needles. I also ordered the 20 ml syringes.
Couldn't find a website here in US where I didn't have to order in bulk.
I was also confronted with deciding which type of syringes and needles to order "Luer Lock" or "Luer Slip" - don't know the answer.

Hope that helps some.

Thanks Cinderella, :)
So have you received your needles/syringes yet?
I only want the needles/syringes for filling or topping up cartridges from a an e-liquid bottle (not extracting), so I thought (hoped :D ) that 2 or 3ml would be sufficient as I was labouring under the impression that you could only put about 0.5ml in a cartridge.

I am also wondering if I can buy say 16mg e-liquid and water it down a bit as I chain smoke rollups at the moment, but very very thin ones and I am at real risk of either
1. going through a million low nicotine cartridges a day (which would be impossibly expensive)
or
2.OD-ing on the high strength ones and still craving the old hand to mouth thing.

i have been useing the 10 ml type syringes that come with printer ink refills..

the janty classic should take the pen type carts... the classic (original) type e cig is often called the pen type.. they are pretty standard.. the mini e-cig types can vary a bit more.. the mini with the DS901 number works quite well..

trog

ps.. i am an ex fifty a day skinny roll-up man.. i use about 2 ml of high liquid per day.. i top the carts up using liquid.. its way cheaper.. the need for the odd skinny roll-up soon disappears.. i still have the odd one but more cos i want to than need to.. i could not bother with any.. at first usage fifty a day instantly down to ten with no problem..

My order of syringes and needles are waiting downstairs with my doorman to pick up.

Re: the size of syringe: It sounds like you might really get into this. Therefore you might want to load up a bunch of cartridges at once requiring a larger syringe.

Now re: mixing the eliquids I haven't begun yet. Just finished ordering supplies and waiting for all deliveries.
I'd address those questions to our reputable senior members who have been mixing and experimenting for a long time.
I hesitate to post their names less I leave some out. I haven't yet read all the posts on the forum.

The stuff is shipped from The Netherlands, by registered mail.

A syringe is not needed - exactly. However, the dropper method is messy and inaccurate. There is a bit of waste with the dropper as it is easy to over fill. It OK for topping off a cart when you are out and about. A syringe is much easier for filling a number of carts at once. You will want to fill quite a few carts at once. Its a bit time consuming and inconvenient to fill them just a few at a time.

Thanks for the replies so far. :)
I have ordered some random syringes(2ml, 5ml,10ml) and 21g, 22g and 25g needles as no one seems to be able to give definites on what is needed size and gauge wise.

And I have emailed http://www.euro-e-cigarette.eu/ to find out if their Pen E- cartridges will definitely fit a Janty Classic.

@Cinderella have you collected your parcel yet?

EDIT: I have also now ordered the Janty Classic from http://www.ruyanexpress.com

I'm waiting on some responses regarding watering down e-liquid before I place an order with http://www.euro-e-cigarette.eu/
Because surely it is cheaper (if it's possible) to order a higher strength then water it down a bit rather than buy a lower strength and buy more?

The reason no ones being too specific is that it doesn't matter what size or guage, except for personal preference. The needle is used to inject the wooll with liquid. It doesn't matter what guage or length the needle is. . The syringe size only matters in that it ought to be big enough for your intended purpose. If you'll be filling one or two at a time maybe 3ml will do. If you want to do a week or months at a time, maybe you want 20ml.

As to watering down the liquid, check out the combo flavors thread for what some of us are doing. But the short form is, don't use water, use propylene glycol, the major ingredient and smoke maker. PG is also used to make flavor essences, so you can get damn near any flavor you want and mix it with you e-liquid. I'm smoking Blueberry riught now.

Ha.. ha.. Yes I did and I did my first dripping. I gather right away it's a trial and error process.

I think my guess with the 18 gauge needle was good as the eliquid is viscous and slightly oily.

The little bit of eliquid I have is a dropper bottle but the dropper is integral with the whole bottle so you can't take the dropper off. I hope my other bottles are styled differently.

I tried dripping into my mini first, by taking the filter out but that didn't work cause I couldn't get it back in correctly. It has this tiny plastic in the middle of the filter material that was too difficult to get positioned back in it's original place.
However, my 2nd try with the mini worked by just dropping 1 drop down the side of the inner cylinder that contains the filter.

I've dripped a couple of my penstyle NJoy cartridges with only one or two drops that I thought went dry and it worked.

I have a 20 ml syringe and I think that might be a good size for extracting but I see where a smaller one would be helpful for dripping if the bottles I ordered of eliquid come with a screw-off top.

Also I ordered rubber gloves to work with - good idea. And of course a tweezer.

I just received my Janty Classic, not too bad, four days delivery. All in all it looks pretty good. Although the charger looks a bit battered, I hope it's not a return.

One problem though the instructions are in Dutch, are they always sent out in Dutch or was I just unlucky?

Fair enough if the website was only available in Dutch then I would not be so arrogant as to expect instructions in English.
But you can view it in German, French or English, so I'm a bit surprised.

I had to guess how to put the cartridge in, it took me a while to work out that maybe the end was meant to come off.

I have stuck one battery in the charger, how long do I leave it for first time around?
