So when you vape enough, the coil needs to be replaced. I have done enough research and learned a lot about vaping, but I still have a ways to go. Yet, I have a question about this. People say that after 4-7 refills, the coil should be replaced, but is it the wicks, or the heating element that is the problem? I plan on saving coils regardless, I do the same with cartos for my G6 and throw them in a box to boil when I get enough of them to make em last (dont mean to sound cheap, but saving money is always good). If it is the heating element, then that is no problem, I can throw it out and keep the wicks. If it is the wicks that burn out first, then can I just buy replacement wicks? With the Triton, it is failry easy to remove the wicks and clean them, but why not just replace the wicks and save $ in the long run. I am already saving over 1000$ a year by vaping, and saving more can't hurt. If I get replacement, I heard Cotton is not as good of a material, but what else should I look for?

@ - Sthur - I see the amount of posts that you have and the fact that you say that you have used coils for "months!!!" don't want to sound like a doubter, but almost everyone that I have gained information from has said that with over 1 tank a day vaping that the coils only last at most 2 weeks. What is you secret? haha, all the videos that I have watched have had similar coil life spans, and some say that only after a few days the coils have to be replaced, and that is with good maintenance!?!? Really, little cleaning and only dry vaping? Must learn from you, haah, so plz let me know how you really do this!!!

I first started with 2 tanks and vape both mostly all day and filling them all about every night. I used to once a week break out the third for a day and clean the first 2. I take a coffee cup of water nuke it microwave for 1 min. Take tanks apart and soak for 5 min or water is cooler. Changed water 1-2 times again. Let parts dry overnight and dry burn and fill next am and fill. First couple hits will be little light as the coil gets moist it will break back in and be good again.

I now rebuild my pt coils with micro coils for my t3s, evod, and now mini vivi. I clean then about every 1-2 weeks, remove cotton, dry burn, add cotton, and away I go. I might rebuild coils about once a month and vape my mech while doing that.

Ymmv, you mileage my vary. I use lighter fruit juice. If you use dark juice it my clog up coils sooner.

I have found w/regular 'cleaning', I can make a T2 wick last for a long time. I've actually used my last 2 wicks (each in it's own tank) for 2 months. The only problem that I've noticed is the wicks are starting to 'unravel' lose their integrity. I use several tanks... mostly T2s & i30s. If I ever learn to rebuild them, I may only have to buy batteries, wick & wire; which means I'll have a MINIMAL amount of $ in hardware!
I have been thinking about buying a Triton tank, but the T2s I buy are a bit cheaper & I always have a coupon.
