I know juice and tank and device effect vape but I keep finding myself vaping evic with Protank 2.5 ohms at 3-3.2 volts.... Everywhere I read most vape hotter.. I guess whatever works for you is good just feeling a little left out... Higher than 3.6 all my juice tastes burnt... Multiple vendors of juice so that's not the problem... Any thoughts....

Different people have different preferences. Do what's best for you.

I think that high voltage vaping can be can be somewhat linked to the smoking of substances which can't be mentioned here. There is definitely a different taste when you crank up the power. There is a propensity for those that vape at high volts to wear baseball caps backwards, be covered in tattoos an say "man" and "dude" a lot. As a smoker of lights for 30 years -I am with you. I rarely go above 3.7 or 3.8 volts. I dislike that burnt/harsh taste which our other vaping brethren enjoy. Each to his own. :)

The problem with that line of thinking is that when done correctly, high wattage vaping produces BETTER flavour, and no burnt or harsh taste.

Depends on the device you have on your mod. Like mentioned above, clearos don't handle higher voltage good. Even some cartos don't handle high voltage. All these high voltage your seeing is mainly from rba's set-ups. You even have some clearo's that can be rebuilt with coil wires that can handle more heat. I'm thinking some of the clearo's out there are wrapped with 32awg or higher, which are pretty thin wires that heat up faster. I remember with stardust clearos at 1.8 ohms, I could only go up to 3.9-4.0v before I start getting a burnt taste. My boge F16 stock carto at 1.4 ohms stayed at 3.8v before that gave a burnt taste. Also 100% VG also saturates the wicks slower.

It can also come down to your personal taste, if your really enjoying yourself with low volts/watts. Stick with it and if you end up changing your vaping preference. There are many threads here with allot of information that can help you with different set ups.

I vape at higher voltages/wattage at times. Literally none of those other things though including the substances. Also, of the adults I know who do use such substances those things aren't true for 99% of them.

I'm never going to push a DNA20 to it's limit but you can go well above what the op describes without any sort of burnt flavor.

To the OP, when I was using clearos I only vaped at about 3.7 volts on a 2.5ohm resistance because I would get a burnt or bad taste going much higher, it all changes when you use a different vapor delivery device. That said, if you are happy with this and it works for you, keep with it. It's not a bad thing at all.

Some vapors, myself included, prefer a cooler vape. I've learned from experience that I don't like LR (low resistance) delivery devices, dual coil cartos, top coiled atomizers in clearos, or short drip tips. I like standard resistance delivery devices, single coil cartos, bottom coiled atomizers, and the longer drip tips. All produce a cooler vape.

Nothing wrong with that. It's all personal preference.

What? I guess that makes the top dumb statement of my day. High voltage vaping either requires a high res coil or very bad taste buds. NO ONE likes dry hits, but when set up correctly, high voltage vaping can yield good flavorful results.

I do hope this was a poor attempt at a joke. Otherwise this is a ridiculous and terribly misinformed post.

Some people do prefer a cooler vape and low voltage, I used to be one of them.

When done correctly high volt and high wattage vaping can produce some amazing and very satisfying vapor.

Trying to link high power vaping to criminal activity and how some wear their hats is just asinine.

Pushing ~20w through a 28ga coil isn't even that hot though, I'm not really a fan of a hot vape myself either.

Exactly!

My 20watt vape on 28 gauge wire, has more vapor, more flavor and it's noticeably cooler than what I used to get on commercial LR attys

I have 3 protanks and got that crap burnt taste on all of them...I took them apart, remove the center post with a little wiggle to expose the wicks and coil....there are 3 wicks. One coiled and 2 just sitting over it. Remove one of the 2 top wicks. That fixed my problem on my 3 pro tanks and 4 T3 bottom coil tanks. It lets a lot more liquid in but doesnt mess. Still my go to all day set up. I use my pro tanks at 8 to 10w....thats well over 3.5v. I never ever get a dry hit. Nor a mess. Vapor taste and hit are awesome.
