Now, Lisa. Do you want to know about your body?(I'm going to be thin!!!! Yeah!)

So, if you (meaning anyone) die before the rapture, what happens to the body? Jesus had a Glorified Body. He ate, consumed liquids, etc. Remember when He cooked His disciples breakfast? It was fish, (wretch) but they all loved it back then. He walked through walls. Cool! Now that could be really fun! Well, that's why 'the dead in Christ shall rise first'............why.........for the body to be joined with the spirit and soul. NOT the old saints.....just ones saved under Grace. ' And those who remain shall be quickly changed...' just poof......glorified body....no death. We will rise to meet HIM in the air. I keep waiting for that trumpet sound! NO WONDER THEY CALL IT THE GOOD NEWS! I truly believe this will happen in my lifetime, unless I run out in the street in front of a Mac truck.

Does not the blood of the cross run forward and backward? Where is the scriptural evidence to prove "not the old saint..just ones saved under grace".

It is my understanding that the saints of old's souls and spirits are with Jesus. But the body won't be reconciled to the soul and spirit until Jesus calls them afterward with the tribulation saints' bodies. Now I could be completely wrong, however, Scriptures state that the 'dead in Christ' shall rise, meaning during the Grace period. Again, the saints of old were under the law, just as it will be again in the tribulation period. The Grace era is only so long and will end when Israel's clock starts up again with the beginning of the tribulation 7 year period. Is it possible I could be wrong? Yeah. I'm not sure I am. But, the good news is we get new bodies! I can eat chocolate chip cookies without getting upset about my weight. :)

(1 Thess 4:16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

God in person will come down from Heaven. It will not be a substitute or an assistant but THE LORD HIMSELF! Rev 1:7 - “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” He will display that glorious body that we long for (Phil 3:21). Remember v. 15 - those that remain “shall not precede them which sleep.” Take a moment to notice Jn 5:28,29. All of the dead shall be raised here. It is only the ones that are in Christ that will stand with Christ. There are those who would link 1 Thess 4:16 with Rev 20:5. Their point is “The dead in Christ shall rise first (1 Thess 4:16), but the rest of the dead lived not again until the 1,000 years were finished” (Rev 20:5). We must note however that the first is contrasted with the “we which are alive and remain.” It is not the “in Christ” and “out of Christ” that are first and second. It is the dead in Christ and those who have not physically died when Christ returns that are first and second. There will be only one resurrection. Also note Acts 24:15: “And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.”

(1 Thess 4:17) Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. .

“Then we which are alive and remain”
There will be men and women alive when Christ returns. Mankind will not literally annihilate itself. After the dead are raised, then those who are alive and remain shall be changed (Phil 3:20; 1 Cor 15:51-58). “shall be caught up together with them in the clouds” “Them” are the dead in Christ which have been raised. All the faithful will be caught up together in the clouds. “clouds” - Scripture ties Christ’s coming and clouds (Rev 1:7; Mt 24:30). The Lord’s presence is often associated with clouds and smoke (Ex 19:18; Isa 6:4; Psa 18:11,12; Mt 17:5). “to meet the Lord in the air” The literal reading is “to a meeting of the Lord in air.” The word “meet” – (GK - APANTESIS) is a noun. It is a meeting in the air. Christ will not set foot on the earth (2 Pet 3:7-11). “and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (Jn 14:1-3; 17:24).
