What's your budget? If you want the least expensive, MadVapes has a basic 510 kit in stock for $30 that contains 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, a 5 pack of pre-filled cartridges and a charger. If you're willing to go a little higher I would highly recommend a Volt from Smokeless Image. They're more expensive but are much better performers and already come with cartomizers that you can refill (where the 510 comes with cartridges and atomizers which most of us here find aren't ideal.)

Hoosier had a 510 2-piece kit with 5 cartomizers included. Just add juice. $28. I don't know of a better deal than that. If you decide to upgrade later your supplies will fit any 510 you get.
510 manual cartomizer kit from smok tech

I'm excited to read this thread to learn about kits that have pre-fillled cartomizers (not cartridges)that aren't awful or awfully expensive. Some of the people transitioning have an issue with dealing with juice. Don't know why but it is what it is.

Classic best price point for a starter kit is Liberty Flights, their Riva Lite 510 bundle. It has two 750 mAh batteries, charger, couple of atomizers, empty cartridges, costs $30 after the 20% off october20 discount code. Their shipping is cheap, pretty solid customer service.

I always recommend also picking up a pack or two of 2 ohm Boge 510 cartomizers -- I'm a cartomizer user, they provide good wamth/vapor without stressing the batteries like the really low resistance cartos.

The batteries run a long time between recharges (compared to Volt, which is absolutely a solid choice, a new generation KR808D-1).

Add a bottle or two of eliquid.

Total, about $50 - $60 including the cartomizers and eliquid.

The Riva is a fat battery 510, manual, with a little push button on the side to fire it. If you need/want a more cigarette shape, or an automatic (operates by you inhaling), then the Volt has a lot of fans, or other KR808D-1 kits are good. Check the Pay-It-Forward Deals and Steals thread to see who is running specials (I have a link to PIF in my signature).

if you are dead set on getting a PV that "looks" like a cigarette, i would recommend the Volt from smokelessimage.com.

if you are OK with something that does not look like a cigarette, i would highly recommend starting with the Epower 14650. you can find it from several resellers, and the starter kit averages around $40-50. the epower uses replaceable Lithium Ion batteries, and they are pretty inexpensive (about $5 each). i much prefer this route to the Riva/Ego route of using proprietary/sealed battery PVs.

I agree on the E-power. Not only can you remove and change out the batteries, the components themselves can be replaced if they become faulty. MadVapes sells kits for $40, add $10 for a 30ml bottle of their juice (or $11 for a 50ml of China juice, if that's your thing), plus shipping and you're ready to go for about $55.

If you want to get cartomizers, GoodProphets sells them at the cheapest price I can find, 5 for $6.
