Ok so I got the ego c twist with the expectation it was gonna make my vaping experience better but no matter what tank I use vivi nova, kanger pro tank mini 2, stardust unless I have it on the lowest setting (3.2) it tastes burnt sometimes even on the lowest setting and there have been no positive changes in my vaping experience????

It sounds like you are having wicking issues with your liquid - the battery will not change/affect/improve your experience until the problem with wicking is solved.

Tell us - what kind of juice is it? Vendor, Flavor, PG/VG Ratio, Is it light or dark in color? This is a good starting bit of info and we can go from there!

Sounds like a wicking issues. For the Protank try this guide. It could also be the consistency of your liquid. If you vape PG, try increasing your PG content. If you vape 100% VG, try adding a drop or two of distilled water to each tank to help with wicking.

For the Stardust and Vivi Nova you'll have to use the "tilty method" i.e. tilt them upside down so the wick tendrils get fully saturated. They should vape better if you do this.

Clearos require a bit of know-how to get them working well, hope you can get it figured out.

I know my roommates have oft complained about their Kangers being well, subpar. I was talking to a vape shop owner who was telling my roommate and I that Kanger has gone down hill in quality over the last few months. I didn't care for the starter tanks on my ivape spin (t3 Sol Fuego), and have been shopping around until I found myself using the Innokin iClear 30 and iClear 30S. Best ones I've used so far, and I almost never get a burnt taste unless I have the spin running at 4.8V for hours on end. I think it's the available wick saturation in my case.

Mount baker vapor, grumpy bear, 80pg 20 vg 18mg nic practically clear just a slight yellow tint in the stardust, the vapor factory, mint chocolate, don't know the ratios 24mg nic Brown but you can see through it mixed with mount baker vapor, chocolate mint,50pg50vg,12mg nic, dark Brown cannot see through it in kanger pro tank mini 2 and the vapor factory, strawberry pineapple, ratios unknown,24mg nic clear slightly yellow tint mixed with mount baker vapor, pineapple, 50/50 24mg nic yellow tint but can see through in vivi nova

I am guessing this one - "mint chocolate, don't know the ratios 24mg nic Brown but you can see through it mixed with mount baker vapor, chocolate mint,50pg50vg,12mg nic, dark Brown cannot see through it" is a major problem for you. These dark chocolate flavors just gunk up coils faster than any body's business! I tried a few super dark ones in the beginning that tasted like licking a camp fire

I love chocolate and coffee flavors and resorted to dripping the dark ones. I have found more clear ones since that I now stick with.

Not sure on your golden flavors - do they darken at all in the tank? (if so sweetener in the juice is cooking and that destroys your coils and give a burnt taste)

But why would there be similar wicking issues on difference clearos (especially when one is top coil and the other is BCC). The battery is the common denominator here.

Natyfern, do you have a different battery you can try, or a friend's battery to borrow, to see whether your clearos work ok on another device? What is the resistance level of your coils btw?

My thought here is common denominator =juice. When I first started I didnt realize how badly the dark juices and certain sugary juices were destroying coils in everything I tried. I thought the same as far as the battery - but new winders and still the same problem. I had a chocolate flavor that tasted like burning yuck in every clearo I tried - but it was tasty if I dripped it.

(this issue - not wicking - its just the juice - but also could have been wicking with high VG even amidst different clearos - thick is thick)

Ya, I didn't think of juice, it's not a factor I've had problems with because mostly I've just been use boring tobacco flavors up to this point. But I'm plan to change that with my next e-liquid order. :vapor:

My OH is the plain tobacco master and I am jealous sometimes because he NEVER has a juice problem. I thought everything was just broken garbage quite a few times in the get go of vaping! Yeah - it was the juice LOL.

I do have another battery. The ohms I'm not sure hubby rebuilt them but were not sure of the ohms don't have a way to test them and as far as the stardust idk its still whatever came from factory

You really need an OHM tester B4 you start rebuilding coils IMO....Just sayin' :)

Any suggestions on a good ohms tester?

Natalie ;)

A lot of people use the following style: Atomizer Ohm Checker and E-Cigarette Battery Volt Meter

Or you can get a multi meter at somewhere like Home Depot -- it's a little tricky using a MM to test coils, because you have to position the test just so. OTOH MMs are also useful for testing voltage levels of rechargeable batteries, if you get into mods down the road.

Personally, I've been using the oHms meter feature on my Vamo. This isn't a great practice, because the accuracy can be in doubt when it comes to cheap electronic devices, but I never come anywhere close to a dangerously low oHms level (i'm talking about when I build my own coils), so the Vamo been ok. But a decent MM is definitely on my shopping list.
