Hmm, my experience was different. It made my 24mg juice easier to swallow.

Ouh, that's odd... Since it's mostly used to enhance the TH, it's even marketed for that.
My 12mgs with koolada in them got bigger TH than than some of my 18mgs.

Maybe it affects us diffrently? Well it might be worth a try! :)

Perhaps, I don't know what "throat hit" is. :p

I am equating throat hit with harshness, which the numbing qualities of menthol (and Koolada) can mitigate.

Yes my friend has been smoking reds for over 10 years, i dont think lowering nic is an option lol. I am thinking maybe its the vape or I need a new company. Any suggestions? If its a vape it needs to be simple to use, no leakage and relativly reliable. Don't need anything too fancy- it just needs to get the job done! :) PS I am also curious myself

I disagree. I was a heavy smoker for 30+ years but do fine below 12mg. Often 6 to 9. Lowering the nic is an option. At least it's worth a try.

The other thing is don't inhale so deeply. Smokers are used to inhaling into the lungs as that's primarily where the nicotine is absorbed into the blood stream. In vaping, it's more in the mouth and nasal passages. Treat it more like a pipe or cigar and "puff". At least at first. I know when I got started, a deep inhale had me trying to cough up a lung. Now I can inhale deep without coughing but don't bother. Not much point given how the nic is absorbed.
