On my 4081 cartridge....at the very top there is a lid....(where the hole is) What is the purpose? Do I take the little lid off to smoke or leave it on? Kinda confused here I just got my PV on Friday and I still have soooooooo many questions!

Is it a small clear plastic like cover piece? Actually rubber would be a better description.
