You definitely "need a new charger as well." The charger that came with your SP2 is intended for the 3.7V 16340 batteries used in the base SP2 kit, not the 3.0 RCR123A batteries used in the 6V Thermo tube implementation.

A higher mAh alternative to the Tenergy batteries and charger is the Haoba rcr123a 3 volt Battery Kit from MadVapes. They also are LiFePO4, but 880 mAh rather than 750 mAh. The kit comes with only two batteries, but sells for a total of $20 (including shipping), rather than the $33 of the Amazon deal. Haoba certainly is lesser known than Tenergy, but I do trust the supplier, MadVapes ... as well as Clouds of Vapor (the supplier that RedAlert links to for the Tenergy batts and WF-188 charger).

look, 1200 mAh. don't believe the labels, truthfully they're all under 700mAh in that size, and with chemistry's like LiMn or LiFePo4 they will always have about 30% less capacity than the same size conventional rechargeable Li-ion (LiCo) cells.

now you could go the protected 3.7V RCR123A route, like these or their IMR equivalents, and use a properly tuned higher resistance atomizer to meet the sweet spot you're otherwise hoping to get out of 6V. benefit of this is that there are no special chargers needed, no resistive diodes in place to turn 3.7V batteries into 3V and waste valuable space and energy in the process, and no excessive amperage drain or potential voltage sag on the batteries if used with the right atomizer (roughly above 5Ω for the first link and whatever you wish for the second). just a suggestion, but best of luck in your selection.
