Hey all,

Fairly new to vaping.. just had a few questions about some e-juice that I was looking to order

i have a Joyetech 510 (nothing special i know but soon I will be upgrading since im 100% addicted to this new 'hobby')
also standard cartridges and cartomizers

is it safe to use any e-juice with the stuff I have?

reason I ask.. i was planning to order from a couple sites my friends go through and was told that certain types of e-juice can ruin the cartridges if they are too 'fruity' or too high with VG (I plan on ordering 80/20 for now just to be safe)
indigovapors.com
mtbakervapor.com
fuzionvapors.com

So my real question i guess in short: is there anything i should worry about or anything specific i should order to be on the safe side?

(also the guy from one of the sites said that 'i should be ok' and i could ask for 'no coloring' which i dont know if i need to do or not)

i just dont want to ruin the hardware i just bought but really want to try some different flavors

thanks for any help!!

What type of tank do you have? The one that came with the kit?
The only problems I have seen is citrus, cinnamon and some "too fruity" juices(like banana) can break or damage a tank as well. It really depends on what tank you have though. Usually, vendors will have a warning with the juices that are known to break tanks. I say it is safe, just be aware of the warnings and use your better judgement. Coloring can wear out the wick/mesh faster, I have never had a problem with coloring ruining tanks.

yea its just the type A carts that come with the kit..

i literally just got it yesterday and i got a starter kit of ejuice that came with my kit and all of them seem to be 'clear' liquids even the flavored ones

the one i have from fuzionvapors.com called gumby blood (which is amazing btw) is almost a dark aqua color.

i just filled an empty cart with it and it seems to be vaping fine at the moment

Just a partial answer (sorry!)

Certain flavors can kill plastic clearomizers/tanomizers -- the ones that I remember off the top of my head are cinnamon and banana. The plastic actually melts. Doesn't happen right away, but the deradation does occur and build up. For many, the cost of a semi-disposable (5 or 6 fills and done, for example) clearo is acceptable. Most would not use those flavors in a $13 (or more!) CE5 or Mini Vivi

Do a search and there are several threads with a comprehensive listing and pictures of the damage that is done.

It's basically a warning more so for clearomizers and Vivi tanks, etc cuz they're rebuildable and tend to be used a lot longer than cartridges. So unless you're planning on rebuilding your cartridges you're fairly safe. They do have tanks for 510 PVs that would definitely be negatively affected by acidic juices.
Generally rule of thumb if it's plastic acidic juices are a no go. As for cartos they're metal and are not affected by acidic juices.

The type A tanks?

I never had any trouble using them with any flavors at all. Thicker liquids don't work so well, but not flavorings. Cartomizers - no issues at all with any flavorings.

Mt Baker let's you know which juices can ruin a tank. You can check the reviews on a juice and see if anyone mentioned if there's a problem, cartomizers work for everything. I upgraded a few weeks after having a cig. like PV, what a difference! The small battery was driving me crazy, don't know how much you smoked but charging a battery constantly isn't fun.
