OK so I just bought the njoy NPRO, (still waiting on it) but after my starter kit cartridges run out I was planning on filling my own. I was looking around on Totally Wicked's web site and got very confused. Here is the impression I was under when I left their site. You can go with option A. and buy the E- Liquid in the strength and flavor you want and just refill your cartridges with that and that only, or option B. you could buy the Platnum Ice (which is the nicotine) then dilute it with the propylene glycol and add your flavor. If I'm on the right track here and everything I said is true then I have a few more questions. What is the difference in just buying the pre-made nicotine and flavor already mixed in the bottles (E-Liguid) and making your own (Platnum Ice)? Also what is the difference in their Decadent Vapours Flavorings line and their LorAnn Flavoring line? Sorry for all the questions. I'm just new to all this and want to learn as much as I can. Thanks in Advance!!! :)

Close but no cigar....:) Their regular e-liquid already contains the nicotine. If this is your first juice buy, you want the 18 mg/ml. Platinum ice is a very potent nic level for peeps who like to cut it down and mix their own juice.

Edit: OK, I see I mis-read your post. Yes! You can just buy the juice with the nic or buy the platinum which is 54 mg and designed to be cut down with PG or VG. Here is a program to help you do that:

pre-mix is less trouble. some are real good others are not that great.. mixing yourself is more work once you get it down you can get flavors the way you like them personaly and cost less.. if done wrong you can end up with some bad flavors .

i mix my own mainly.. some i buy pre mixed because i cant match the flavor

Yes you can buy or mix your own. though I wouldn't suggest it for someone starting out.

Buying pre mixed is easier. Mixing your own takes time and trial and error, but you can mix something exactly the way you like it.

The difference between flavorings would be, not being sarcastic here, taste. Chocolate flavoring from Brands x, y, and z will all taste like chocolate, but slightly different. Hersheys and Reeses milk chocolate taste different for example.

If you want to mix remember these few key things...

Take lots of notes. Sucks making the perfect mix and not remember exactly what you did.

Mixing takes time. Flavors don't fully mix together for a while, what tastes right today might not taste right three days from now when the flavors properly steep.

Mixing takes lots of attys, unless you wanna spend most of your time cleaning them out. Did you just make the perfect peppermint patty or was that some leftover mint flavor in the atty from last try? No way of telling without clean attys.

Most important to remember is that high dose nicotine is DEADLY. 40-60mg is Lethal (Ruffly 1mg per kilogram) in adults, and can be absorbed through the skin. The platinum ice you referred to is 54mg per ml, 2 milliliters absorbed or ingested and your dead. Mixing is fun, just wear gloves and treat the stuff with respect.

Hope this answered all your questions

I love to DIY. Still, I'd recommend you wait a bit with that. First, vaping itself has a learning curve, which obviously you have to master before you can reasonably try out flavours. Second, your taste buds need time to recover: What you would mix in your first few weeks and liked will probably taste not so gread a few weeks further on, when your taste buds had time to recover from being tarred over and over again.

Use that time to read to the DIY Guide and the rest of the DIY forum. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/74109-guide-diy-flavoring.html

Thanks for all the help guys. :) So I was right about what impressions I had just a little confused as to why someone would would want to mix their own e-liquid. Now one last question. whats the difference in Totally Wicked's Decadent Vapours Flavorings line and their LorAnn Flavoring line? Just for future reference when I do start to mix my own flavors. Thanks again. :)

LorAnn is a food flavour line/company, Decadent Vapours are specifically made for flavouring e-liquid.

Similarly, Flavourart was a plain food flavour company, until vapers discovered it, and FA in turn discovered vapers. So now they have food flavours, most of which can be used to flavour liquid, and some flavours, mainly tobacco, which are specifically made for vaping. (Although AFAIK you could use them for food, too, as they state only food flavours are used to make them. Tobacco-flavoured ice-cream, anybody? ;))

Yes, like the advise above, I am also a noobie..only 5 weeks vaping and analog free...I buy my juice from different dealers and note which ones I like and reorder from them...
I must have at least 6-10 bottles that I just don't like.....This I found out is just the learning curve for me...I don't think I know enough about the Mixing end of the business to do it myself....It is cheaper,,,,but alot more time-consuming, not to mention very dangerous....For now, will let the "pros" do that for me...and I will just keep enjoying the results...Good Luck

I agree to check some pre-mixed out first and then don't be afraid to mix up some. I bought 54mg and some vg and pg and lorannes from Betty's country store, (best price I could find and service was great) I mix up fruit flavors and have been doing well with them. Watermelon and strawberry are my fav's so far. I am still searching for a chocolate I like, but have not found one yet.
