Questions about ego VV/W mod: batteries and protection

Hi, I'm getting my first mod, this one eGo APV Version 2. I've read on here about them, but still have a few of questions for those that have them.

-is it lined?

-is it vented?

-which batteries should I get? protected or not? I'm leaning towards AW IMR 18650, which I think will fit in here, but just want to make sure. I'm also thinking of getting an 18350 but only use one at a time on the smaller tube.

-back on the batteries: do I need to get a 2 cent or equivalent when using the AW in this mod? If I do, will it and the battery fit?

Hiya Mokai - the most recommended are AW IMR. Naked Vapour sells them here in NZ. I've bought some from him myself. IMRs are particularly recommended for vv devices.

I don't know if its vented or not. I'm not sure what you mean by lined - tube mods don't usually have any lining inside.

Thanks Kiwi...I did find naked vapor but he doesn't have any of the 350's and he's out of chargers.

Forgot to mention (it was late here when I posted) that I'm heading to Canada in a couple of weeks for an indeterminate stay, so I can get everything delivered there.

By lined, I read somewhere in all my battery investigating that tube mods should be lined...I don't know as this is my first one.

Wouldn't worry about the lining part. I would want to know if my device had vent holes. It may be vented on the bottom cap - many are.

According the thread here by tnt56, the ego VV/VW (aka VAMO/LT VW/Etna) is vented. Not sure what you mean by lined, but you can try PMing tnt56 if you have specific question regarding that device.

Yes mate it is Vented...you can use nipple top or button 650's 350's in line or singular. Not sure about lined.. Good device for the money IMO, dont think the finish will last on em but othere than that oled scrren is good. Only word of advice is to check its running in RMS mode not AVG.
