Questions about RBA

Hi, I just recently started doing a little research about RDAs & would like to get one. Where is a good starting point as far as learning what coil setups work best with what mod and what battery. Basically I'm trying to find a link to a page with the majority of information I'll need to do my first build is such information exists in one spot. Also, what is a cheap decent rba with like 2.5ml+ capacity? I know kayfun clones are good but $ is tight and yes, I'm looking for something even cheaper than a $30 kayfun clone haha. Thanks in advance and excuse me if I these questions sound silly. I'm kind of silly sally myself.

I always recommend that if you never built a coil and you are venturing into doing so, learn how to wrap and build 1.2ohm and higher coils on a vv/vw mod before venturing into mechs. Learn your basics first and use nothing less then recommend IMR batteris for vv/vw or mech mods. These are Sony VTC4, VTC5, purple eFest, or AW batteries.

Youtube is a great place on where to see instructions on wrapping different coils. It's the place a lot of people have learned and then taken what they like and mastered it for their own purpose and liking. No two vapors will like the same setup and coils when it comes to those that use mech and build coils.

Cheap RBA that is good? That's an oxymoron. You will never see me recommend anything below an Ehpro or Hcigar for a Kayfun clone. It's my personal experience. If you want cheap and like headaches and rebuilding more then you vape, then by all means play Fasttech Roulette with one of their Kayfun clones.

There are other good clones out there other then the Kayfun as well. If you want Genesis style, you have the RSST, AC9, Kraken, etc... Top build with steel mesh still holds a place in my heart.

You also have the Russian 91% clones by good manufacturers.

In many ways it will come down to your taste and preference... just be safe with whatever you choice and don't regret your purchase.

Ya I was thinking I should probably at least rebuild some of my kanger coils before diving head first into a RBA. Thank you for the advice and I will take it. I've realized you're right about getting a good clone. I have gone down the cheap route too often already and need to stop. And yes, I will definitely be safe above all else! Thank you

The best info page I know of for learning about rebuildables is 'One Stop Reference Shop'.

Good luck with it :thumb:

Yup, your very first steps should be buying kanthal and rebuilding your silica tanks with cotton. For me, that's what made a world of difference in impact, hit, flavor, and production of vapor. Not to mention a cotton wick will be much more similar to smoking a cigarette than silica because that's what your used to drawing smoke from, if your transitioning.

Also, the MVP will work with anything built at .8ohms-3.0ohms, so don't be fooled into buying this or that, it's as simple as using cotton instead of silica and at 11 watts or less you'll get a fantastic experience.
