I have finally started to rebuild my own heads for my ProTanks and Evods. A couple of questions:

1) I have a couple of rebuilt heads that I made with 32ga Kanthal and cotton (from organic cotton balls). My multimeter puts these heads at about 2.4 ohms. My MVP 2 readings fluctuate between 2.0 and 2.2 ohms. The fluctuation scares me a bit. Is that normal?

2) I've ordered some ekowool and am going to give that a try. I know that cotton burns easily and cannot be left dry. Does ekowool burn in the same way? Or is it more like silica?

For anybody thinking about trying this, by the way, cotton seems to bring out the flavor of juice nicely.

Thanks,

Bob

When you are using a multimeter do you mean a electricians tool or the one that you screw your atomizer on to check?

If you are using the tool you should check the resistance that is in the leads of your multimeter by touching them together and subtract that number from any future readings to get a more accurate picture of what is actually your resistance.

The electrician's tool. I checked the resistance like you suggested, and it came up somewhere between .3 and .5, which does seem to be the difference. So you were spot on there.
