I am new to this forum and my search brought up way too much. I have already trimmed the rubber cap down to help with juice flow and pulled the center pipe down for better contact and airflow. I found those post by searching here. But I have notices that after a few continuous hits or draws that I keep getting a dry burn taste. It goes away if I let it sit or roll it around for a bit but when your on a "smoke" break it kinda defeats the purpose if you have to wait. So now my question,is there a mod or something I'm doing wrong to help the wicks absorb? Or can someone familiar with the CE4 that switched to another clearo tell me what type to switch to. I know this is a noob question cause....welll....im a noob lol
Thanks for any help or advice.......except negative....I have doctors and a wife for that lol

I tried the ce4 way back when and they are really meant to be disposable. They are hard to clean or dryburn. I went to the vivi nova mega and love it. Very cost efficient if you want to rebuild. Just make sure it is the genuine vision brand as knockoffs are problematic. There are also the newer kangers out and a protank coming with glass tank. Here is a video on the nova. CE4s are finicky little pieces of cheap plastic that may work fine one minute, then suddenly fry because the phone rang. As klynn said, they are really meant to be disposable. I primarily use carto tanks, but often want something small to throw in my purse when I go out. Recently, I've been having good luck with bottom coil CE3 clearos (sometimes called "cartomizers," which they aren't). I can fit 5 into an average sized medicine bottle, so I have a choice of flavors - but they are also little pieces of cheap plastic, so I don't trust them 100% (which is why I have a cap on the medicine bottle), that said, out of 20 I've only thrown away 3 due to leaking and that was after I had used them a couple of times.

..............Hey man !.
....................It's difficult to clean the disposable clearo's. Once you've used them once they really need to be left to soak in hot water over night. If you try reusing them without cleaning them they just clog up. Unlike a rebuildable clearo where you can just rinse out the coil head and dry burn.

Like klynnn said , in the above post, Try a Kanger bottom coil clearo. T3, Evod or, if you can get them, the protank.

Try changing the coil head before each refill and only half fill to avoid "backwash" of the burnt fluid seeping back into the tank.

I'm still getting a feel for how long my consumables will last. I'm hoping to get 2 weeks from a CE4 and 4 weeks from a 30ml bottle.

My first CE4, I tossed after a week because I ran 4 different flavors through it before I decided on my favorite, and started a fresh CE4 with only that eliquid in it. So far I've used it for 4 days, 2 fills a day. My last one was really fine, no burnt taste or anything, I just wanted to dedicated one, so I expect this one to last but have no idea. We'll see. The 5ml sample bottle lasted just under a week, like 6.5 days....so mathematically the 30ml bottle should last me a month.

If this proves out, my monthly order will be (1) 30 ml bottle of juice and (2) CE4's.....$25. I can certainly handle the expense of $25 a month compared to what I was spending on V2's ($72) and tobacco cigs....oh man....I was paying $55 a carton and buying a carton a week...thereabouts.....so I'm saving 89% since leaving tobacco behind.

EDIT - That was a 10ml bottle, not a 5....and it did last about a week.

Watch this video. It really helped me using the vivi nova when I got fed up with the ce4. A PBusardo Tutorial - Vivi Nova Cleaning & Rebuilding - YouTube

Great vid with demonstration.....

My only issue is the size of the system.....for me, going from V2's to my eGo 900 maH battery and CE4 is a big device.....that guy with the Vivi Nova and Provari....it's like carrying a light saber......I don't think I'm ready for that yet....just my own personal need.

Thanks for all the info everyone.......questions.....on the bottom fed cartos, how long do they last and can they be cleaned or rebuilt? I really like the idea of no leaking and my wife carries hers in her scrubs pocket at work so it gets bounced around quite a bit. Now that will work for the 510's but I cant seem to find a larger model for the Ego.
Now with the other tanks sugested, which would fit the Ego the best, hold 1.5-2ml of juice and not leak I guess would be the important points. Sorry to sound so confused but I'm in a bit over my head lol, the more I try to lear and research the more I discover I don't have a clue about !!!! but that what you guys are here for right lol

Do you mean the bottom coil "cartos" which are really more of a clearo I was posting about? If so, they hold roughly 1.5ml. They are slim and aesthetically probably look better on a 510 cig-a-like, but I use them on everything. The video I linked to shows them better.

Just buy a Kanger T-3 and a few extra coils. Tat will cure the problem. Same price as a couple packs of cigs. You will be good to go...

Totally agree. These don't run out of juice easily. I love mine. LOTS of vapor, no leaks, easy to fill, and cheap to replace the coil.
This is what I use for work (construction).

RE: T2 and T3. They both hold the amount you want and look nice. Like I said you can get the aluminum end caps for the T2. T3 you cannot unscrew the top cap. Both work great but IMHO I feel the T3 has an airier draw. I prefer the slightly tighter draw of the T2. T3 is bottom coil, cooler vapor. T2 is top coil, warmer vapor.

End caps: Kanger T2 Replacement Mouthpiece

Complete with end caps: Chrome Tip Kanger T2 2.4ml eGo Clearomizer
