Questions about the eRoll

Hey y'all!

I've been vaping about a year. I use an eGo-C with a 1000mah battery and 36mg liquid.

The issue I'm having now is that I just bought a different car, and it's a manual. It's hard for me to vape in my car in traffic when I need one hand to steer, one to shift, and another to hold the button down on the battery. I'm just one hand short, there! lol.

So, I'm wondering if y'all think that an eRoll would be a good "out and about" e-cig for those times you need your hands free for other things? Is there anyone else who uses the eRoll (or some other cig-alike) for this purpose? I don't want to waste my money on something that won't be satisfying, but I am also starting to see a need for something smaller, lighter and hands-free.

If it's really a good product, I can tell my roommate to get one too, since he works on cars while he vapes, and ends up getting engine grease and other gunk all up in the buttons of the eGo-C batteries. lol

Hi and welcome! There are a lot of people who love the eRoll - there are whole threads devoted to it - so you might get the answers you're looking for just by reading. I don't have one, but I looked into in, for something small to have when I went out. The only things that stopped me was that it didn't appear you could put other delivery systems on it, like you can with small 510 batteries; things like Vision Nanos or CE3s.

I like the idea of having a PCC, but if you just want something to use for brief periods of time, like driving or whatever you might want to look at an inexpensive kit just to try. This site has the least expensive 510 threaded battery kits I know of that comes in either manual or automatic:

Yeah, I'd have posted on those threads, but I can't until I have 5 posts in here. lol.

But yeah, that's pretty much what I need it for. Driving and when I'm typing papers, stuff like that. I'm pretty happy with my eGo-C, so that's my workhorse. :p

Thanks for the link! Those ARE super cheap. I like that they're on a tank system, too. Might be worth a try at that price! I just really enjoy and trust Joye products, so if this doesn't work out, I can always give the eRoll a try. :)

I think that my only other concern is being able to get the atomizers for that particular e-cig. Dunno where I could buy them locally. Definitely something to check into. I know the eRoll uses the same atomizers I'm already using. Although, since I won't be using it THAT much, I doubt I'd need to replace them all that often. I just don't like having to buy e-cig stuff online and wait for it in the mail. I have a local vapor store here in Austin that I go to. (Actually, there are two of them here now!) So I'm kinda spoiled like that. lol :D

So do those Green Smart Living ones make a pretty good amount of vapor and have a good TH? I obviously don't expect it to compare to the eGo-C, but driving to work in the morning is pretty much my only chance to vape before lunch time, so I need it to be pretty decent!

I've got a couple of eRolls and have gifted three others. They would be an excellent choice for your purposes—no problem holding the eRoll while shifting. It also delivers an impressively good quality vape for its size and the 1000 mAh PCC that takes the eRoll fully assembled eliminates a whole lot of battery charging aggravation.

mommyofdoom - If something a little larger will work for you I would suggest giving a Twist or Spinner a try. It's very nice to have the option to use the variable voltage to dial in the type of vape that you prefer. It's very easy to do. Grimm Green has a nice explanation of variable voltage in his Twist review video. The Spinners work the same way as the Twists.

I already carry a small travel bottle of liquid in my purse since I'm not home much, so that's no problem for me!

@ mommyofdoom: Definitely check into the Twists like peraspera mentioned. Or you can get the eGo-C Upgrade passthrough battery, which is what I use. You can choose between two different voltages on that one. It's good if you like to have a couple of options, but don't want to fiddle with it too much. I pretty much always use the higher voltage, though, because I like my vapor on the warm side. Guess I'm the "set it and forget it" type. lol

But thank you all for the info and suggestions! I'll do a bit more research, but it sounds like it would suit my purposes. :D

For the love of my eRoll I went ahead and upgraded(!)... upgraded to two more eRolls. B'coz, (1)I started to [nearly]chain-vape and the eRoll serves that well, so having few more stix would help, (2)the eRoll looks/feels/vapes so well that I wanted all the colors (now I've all three - Black, White & Silver), AND (3)I've no issues vaping anyway/anyhow I like with the eRolls - I'm able to do everything/everyway that I used to before while smoking a PAD - the eRoll didn't change anything except that I'm healthier!

Actually I do want the Twist. I was going to get the standard starter kit and then get the Twist later. (Limited funds at the moment lol)

I am still going to keep and use my eRoll for when I'm out, I LOVE my eRoll, but I just want a larger tank for home. Just kind of getting tired of having to refill so frequently.

I just use my Knee to steer, one hand holds my e-cig, the other holds my coffee and if I'm careful, I can use the coffee hand to shift without spilling any :D

LOL. We used to do that while in the Forces... never tried those stunts again since out in the civil street.

I guess it's ok for a little auto battery. I don't like having to draw so hard, so I use it more for form rather than function. For a good little stealth vape when I go out, I use a 650mAh eGo, but I drive an automatic.

I been looking a youtube reviews of the eroll for myself and the only thing stopping me so far is the heat generated by the atty. Everyone cautions about it getting super hot and to watch out how you hold it. I don't know how long it takes to cool to touchable after a draw but it would kinda scare me if holding in my shifting hand.

I just take a drag and give it a few seconds to cool back down, then take another drag. It doesn't take long to cool, so as long a you're not hitting it again as soon as you exhale, you should be fine.

As for holding it, that becomes second nature after a while. If I'm driving and not looking down at the eRoll and I do accidentally cover the hole on the side, I can quickly tell (no pull) and I just slide my fingers a little.

No biggie at all.

Edit: Also, after one single drag, even if I time it out, it's pretty warm but it won't burn my hands. So it's not like it'll scald you. :)
