Thanks for the info Jim. The answer to the second question is not only helpful, but gives me some hope for the total conversion from analogs.
As for the first part, I'm not actually juicing my own carts yet. I'm using the carts that came with the kit. Perhaps they over juice them to get better out-of-the-box performance. They do seem to be a little overflowing. I'm sure I will eventually figure out the proper juicing technique once I start filling my own.
This actually brings up another question. Most "commercial" sellers boast 1 cart = roughly 1 pack. After reading LOTS of post on this site (which I love by the way), I realize this is an overstatement meant to sell product. However, I seem to be able to suck a cart dry in about an hour (seems more like 2-3 analogs). Is this normal? Should I look into getting the double sized carts for my 4081? Will the stronger juice last longer? Also, as stated in my previous post, I have ordered a 510 kit. Will I get better/longer performance with that model?

I would forget the pre-packaged carts as they are universally considered poor quality and often are packed so tight that they leak a good deal into the mouthpiece. They are also pricey as you may have seen. Definitely get the double-sized blank carts. In any event, I have been just pulling out the pre-packaged wicking material even from the blank carts that I order and fill them myself with some poly-fil that you can get anywhere. The prepacked carts have the wicking material glued to the sides or bottom, which concerns me a bit. Basically it is pillow stuffing, but get the stuff without fire ......ant from walmart or hobby shop (a few bucks for a lifetime supply!--you only need a tiny wad for each cart. Make sure to replace after several uses otherwise you'll start to get a "melt" taste--yuck). Pack them VERY loosely, just so that the cart can hold the fluid in the cart. There are plenty of vids and detailed instructions on this site and on youtube for this procedure--the same procedure with some small differences applies to virtually all e-cig models. Start looking around for good tasting e-liquid; the e-liquid review thread is a great place to start on this site. Many sites offer trial sized mini vials on the cheap so you can experiment with different flavors and different level of nic. Welcome to the e-cig world!

Yup, sad to say, it's about normal.

Stronger juice will just be stronger. (nic, and hit) They all seem to last about the same. Double carts are your choice. The doubles will allow you to go longer between refills.

Also, as stated in my previous post, I have ordered a 510 kit. Will I get better/longer performance with that model?

I have both too. In my opinion, the hit and vaopr are about the same between the 4081 & 510. 510 is easier to draw on. Manual batteries good for not cloging with juice. The 510 batteries have a crappy life span. You'll need more extra batts wit the 510 than the 4081.

I have an older model I got off a member here. It is very hard to draw, even with fresh charged batteries. It's not horrible, but not my 510.

I just got another npro at my local Pilot Travel Center, with 20 off, made it 49.99.

Packaging is different. I get home, and the batteries are different(not cheap looking), the cartridges look a bit different, and the ash cap/led are different(led brighter, ash cap doesn't look cheap).

So I charged the new one, and to my surprise, it could really compete with my 510. Easy easy draw, and I took a draw for at least 3-4 seconds and it never cut off. Very strong and flavorful vapor from the stock carts. Really surprised.

The overall product really does look more professional, and there is a huge difference in the old model and the new one, both asthetically and performance wise.

I am going to try to use the npro tomorrow instead of my 510.

Anyone else have an old and new, or know of the changes.

The Npro new model, really is a nice e-cig to my surprise.

The 4081 is a rugged little e-cig. It's a shame you can't discuss it in the regular Forums, because of the small handful of 4081 bashers.

I must be really lucky because my Npro draws really easy. A light draw for a second or two produces great vapor and I'm finding that analog menthols are beginning to taste very weak. (they also take too long to smoke)

Had you asked me a week ago, I would have told you that I though it was OK but it seemed kind of weak. I wasn't getting the vapor that the videos of other models were and I was beginning to look for what would be my next model.

The lack of vapor was getting me to draw really hard trying for some more. The prefilled carts didn't last and I preferred the menthol from the Smokingeverywhere disposable. I figured my Npro would end up a back up.

The 510 seems to have a great rep and the two e-cig no box kit looks wonderful considering it's half the cost of a Npro locally.

The thing is, I agree with the people on this forum that think the 4081 is under-rated from what I've read. I think too many people try it as a first e-cig and by the time they understand how to use them, they have moved onto a more respected model. Their poor 4081 never had a chance.

I'm also lucky that I started reading up on these things before I got one. I wouldn't have ever tried the liquid. That first drop on the bridge rocked my world and made me think I could actually quit analogs.

My few tips are

Remove the tip of the mouth piece. It only restricts the air flow.

A longer lite draw is better.

When I get gurgling either from a dieing battery or from too much juice, I replace the battery if needed, pull the mouth piece half off and draw on it until the vapor starts dropping. Sometimes 4 or 5 good draws of strong vapor.

When I'm going in somewhere, I will top off the cart with a few drops and prime the atty with a drop. This usually gives good draws for a while.

That's all I got except enjoy your 4081 and don't listen to the hype.

+1 ... although I am really loving my new cartomizers - my little 4081 is still the on the go vapor beastie to beat. It is a fog machine on a stick with lots of flavor. I can put the same juice in one of my cartomizers - still great flavor, a little better hit, but for some reason the clouds of vapor just isn't there.

Take care,
- Hap

Heya guys! I've got a smoke liberation junior (something wrong with SL? theyre not on this forum anymore o_O)

I barely came across PCCs and have been really intrigued by them. I heard that the 501 PCCs fit perfectly, but I nticed that on truman e-cigs, they sell one specifically for the RN 4081. Has anyone given this PCC a try? I've looked around and only seen people mentioning it, not reviewing it.

Thanks :D

anyone ever hear of QuantumCig? got it at a mall of georgia kiosk. i think its a rn4081 from the pics, but just wanted to be sure. of course, research on e-cigs here would have saved me a good deal of money, but lesson learned. didnt want to order any spare parts till i confirmed it's model number first (though, other than the factory cartridges being used up fairly quickly, it is working like a champ so far).. great forum btw

Have a quick question. Just got my first ecig, chose the RN4081, and am happy with it. My question is really about the charger. Two of the three batteries delivered with the system dont do anything, so I put them in the charger, which then goes to amber...but then it (the charger led) starts blinking green and amber after about 10-20 min. And no the batteries still dont work. Any ideas about what I may be doing wrong?
