I took a closer look at the NPRO atty and it seems that the steel wool in the atty is pushed down too far. I don't think that it is making good contact with the juice.

This is the way it was when I got it. I saw some diagrams on this forum and the steel wool was sticking out pretty far, but mine is way in there.

I pulled it out just a bit, and I'm seeing a little improvement.

Can it be pulled out a little more to make better contact with the liquid?

I think you're talking about the bridge. (The V shaped, steel wool covered thing in the atty.) That's most likely not your problem. If you pull it too far up, it won't allow the juice to wick to the coil. You can also break it.

Are you using juice? If not, that's probably your problem. The attys have to be wet to work properly, and no amount of poking or pulling will help.

You have no location on your profile, so I couldn't begin to tell you where to start for help.

Questions about the RN4081 / NJOY NPRO / Smoking Everywhere SE Gold ?

If you're fairly new here, and cant start threads yet, use this thread to ask your questions.

Cheers;

Hello kindred Vapes:

I've been vaping for two months now and loving it. I got my start with the SS Choice No. 9 [now No. 7]. I like everything except: cost. I'm wondering if anyone's tried using the SE Gold atomizer with the No. 7 battery. I'm hoping so; I've seen replacement atomizers for Golds going for $9.50 on Cloud 9 Smoking and my No. 7 replacement is around 25$. Pricey to say the least. :shock:

Does anyone know a good place to get a Blue or Green LED Battery for the RN4081? Thanks :)

lallaboutique sells a RN4081/DSE 103 manual bat in red or blue. There are actually many places that sell this... BestCig, EcigaretteMall (Black with Blue LED), vapeatron (matte battery with blue led), anycig.com (Starter kit has an option for Green or Red LED), and many others... Look for DSE 103, BE 103, SE gold, or RN4081 Batteries-- All of the bat. models take the RN4081 atomizer

A RN4081/DSE 103 bat should run you 9-15 bucks.... Even if you go through places like NJoy... If I recall NJoy offers free US shipping.

The SS Choice No 7 Micro appears to be a DSE 103...

The DSE 103 battery can take a RN 4081 atomizer. The main difference between the DSE 103 and RN 4081 is the attomizer. The RN 4081 atomizer bridge is recessed while the DSE 103 is not. The DSE 103 batteries is also a bit bigger (by a few mm) than the 4081 and has a higher mAh rating... I recall seeing somewhere that the DSE 103 can deliver around 180 mouthfuls (Puffs) where as the RN 4081 can deliver about120 mouthfuls (Puffs) per full charge (Millage will vary depending on QA). The carts for both hold about 60 mouthfuls...

Put this in perspective... the RN 4081 will last about 2 carts per full charge where as the DSE 103 will last about 3 carts per full charge. Most people take about 8-15 puffs on a traditional cigarette (Depending on how far down the filter they smoke it) ... So you are looking at the equivalent per cart fill of about 4-8 cigs per cart.... If you are a pack and a half a day smoker (30 cigs) you will need about 4 (Or more) carts and 2-3 bats to get through your day if you completely replace smoking with vapping.... Several places offer 50 prefilled DSE-103 carts for $20 but not the RN 4081 prefilled at that price. The cheapest I have seen RN 4081 prefilled was 3.50 per 5 carts... Many places are selling them for 15-20 per 10 carts (That is for the NJoy brand BTW- CVS online has them for about $15 per 10 pack-- SE sells thiers for about 10 per 5 carts). You can do the math on money savings on pre-filled carts.

Went over to a site that sells them... They claim they are compatible with Gamucci micro .... could see which model they are compatible with -- If that helps any...

The RN 4081 and DSE 103 Starter kits run about 27-59 at reputable dealers right now... May be cheaper to switch over.

A bit off topic;

E9 Kits-- Greensmoke, Smoke51, Greenpuffer, RedDragon, Sensation, Cigana, and E-Cigs I have seen for as low as $59.

Take the battery off and loosen the switch up by blowing in and out of the atomizer end. Do this quite a few times 50-100 times.... If you can't loosen up the bat switch then get rid of the bat (See if TW will replace it). If it gets stuck on and it produces a burnt taste with poorer vapor production afterwards you have damaged the atomizer and need to replace the atomizer.

Make sure you have the super-mini (A RN 4081) instead of the TW Mini (A DSE 901) before buying parts. TW sells replacement RN 4081 Atomizers 5 for 34.99 (6.99 each) or you can buy them for 5.50 each directly from China from places like Heavens-Gifts. They sell 5 bats for 49.99. If you are buying in lots of 5 it may be worth it to order from TW. Heavens Gift sells DSE 103 Bats (interchangeable with RN 4081 bats) for 9.00 each. Don't pay 12.99+ for an atomizer or 16.99 per bat (Refill my Njoy has free shipping and only charges 14.99 per bat).

If you order direct from China Expect to pay 15-25 for shipping- so order in bulk. Split any E-Liquid you have into a different order (Helps keep your order out of customs-- I am averaging less than a day for items without e-liquids in them through customs) and expect 7-10 days (I'm running 8 days) or so for shipping).

With US vendors, except SE , I am running 3-5 days shipping... In many cases US shipping is free. When looking at price look at the shipping costs if you are ordering 1-2 items.

i have many gripes with the 4081, which is why i bought the 501 manual.

I have only had it for 8 days and these are the findings. I got it retail at a store around me after a great amount of searching.

1. The atomizer when heated it expands the plastic on the holder and allows for the liquid to escape though this gap.

workaround: might not be the best way to do it but it works. take a dab of vaseline and place it around the base of the sleeve about a 1/2 inch thick you will have to clean the excess off when you put a cart. on.

2. The ratio of oxygen-vapor is wrong. Too much doesn't allow for the vapor to be ingratiated correctly. You can see by letting it rest for a few mins then taking another puff.

workaround: fill in one of the holes. I used tape but isnt working very well anyone else have another suggestion?

i just bought the npro at a gas station a couple weeks ago while out of town- accidently bought wrong refilled carts for the ncig also by njoy......... now i am wanting to order some nic juice and blank carts- i can use the juice on the used carts for the npro , right?

thank you all for all the info- i have been on this site all day reading- hoping to switch to ecig use all the time and kick the analog habit!!! ;):D
