I just won a Cyclone in an online giveaway, & was curious about what batteries to use? I'm hearing at least 30A - but is that on a mechanical mod only? I have a SXmini that I use a poo-brown LG 20A in, and also have an IPV4 which I have 2 Samsung 25R's in.

The Cyclone 0.6 ohm heads are rated at 50-150 watts. That generally means it won't do much at below say 60 watts and you might prefer to be a bit higher than that. The 0.2 ohm Ni200 head is for temperature control mods only and I'm not sure about the 0.2 ohm SS heads.

You're not going to like the 0.6 ohm heads on a mechanical mod. That will give you around 24 watts with a charged battery and less as battery voltage goes down.

Your SXMini does 60 watts max with one battery, so you're going to be limited to the lower range that is recommended for the Cyclone.

Your IPV4 with 100 watts max is the way to go and the Samsung 25R are 20 amp batteries and are fine for this. If you get a mod that can do 100-150 watts with dual batts I would recommend you get Sony VTC4 30 amp batts. They are safe up to 150 watts. Atty resistance in a VW mod doesn't matter, it's all about the watts you set. Mech mods are the opposite.

Thanks! Just the info I was looking for! My IPV4 goes up to 120w & I also have a Sig 150w. Definitely going to pick up some 30amp batts ;)
