Hi All, I'm relatively new here too. Just got a set from Malaysia as it is banned in Singapore. I bought a set of Ego-C and it come with a free bottle of juice. Unfortunately the seller only left with coke flavour. So far I don't feel like i'm smoking like it is a real cigarette as i find it choking my throat slightly when I puff it. I only puff 2 times max then I have to stop. Is it because the e juice is not a good quality one? It is 12mg though.

It is more likely the choking problem is because you are trying to inhale with the ecig the same way you inhale with a cigarette. You have to inhale on an ecig differently or the vapor can make you choke. Suck on the ecig the way you would suck on a straw, let some vapor accumulate in your mouth, and then inhale. That should stop the choking sensation you are getting.

I use an eGo C passthrough ($35.00 kit with eveyrthing you need in it including juice) and an eGo C manual so I don't know much about the Twist except that I've read some have problems with it. My advice: Use the "search" feature here and read up to get opinions as some of the threads are closed and won't appear on the front page.

Hi just passing through and thought I'd throw out a link to a website that keeps it pretty simple for the beginners.

VapingMe.com

He sells ego twist batteries, chargers(hope he's restocked) and just started his juice line up again recently. Free shipping above $30,00 and the coupon code: ECF will get you 10% off. I think his prices are good. Check it out :)

Here are a couple of kit suggestions:

This one is more expensive because the battery is a real JoyeTech. I'm not a big Vivi Nova fan (I have 2), but they are very popular. The kit comes with juice. Personally, I would add a couple of clearos to the order to be able to sample more juices, in smaller amounts, than just using the nova: http://www.virginvapor.com/collections/electronic-cigarettes/products/vivi-twist-starter-kithttp://

This one has smaller batteries (650mAh vs 1000mAh in the other one), the 650mAh doesn't last as long (about 4-6 hours depending on your vaping habits) but it's less conspicuous in size (a 1000mAh is about 5" long). It comes with 2 clearos and one of Ray's polypro tanks (he's the owner) which are great if you like juices incompatible with polycarbonate. eGo Twist 650 Starter Kit - Black

VVV doesn't carry e-liquid, but there are lots of vendors who sell sample packs. Here is a reasonably priced example: Flavor Sample Pack
These are just examples of what is available. I'm sure other members will ring in with deals they are aware of.

I'll second Miss Chris's suggestion to use vaping.me. I started with an ego twist and two vivi nova's from him about a month ago for around $45. His prices are the lowest I've seen, and his kits seemed geared towards getting beginners started off right. Shipping was super fast (2 days) and he even threw in an X-Men card. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get a pair of kanger t3's in lieu of the mini novas

I'm not in love with the Vivi Nova's either. They work ok.... I really like the Kanger T2 clearomizers and my hubby likes the Vision CE4's they are easy to use. I figured out how to clean them pretty well and can reuse them for awhile. They look nice on the Ego Twists and hold decent amounts of liquid. I still use carto's occasionally to try out new juices but having to top off to keep the filler material wet gets to be a chore after awhile.

My shopping list would be:

2 Ego Twist batteries
2 Clearomizers
1 Charger
1 or more sample size bottles of nic liquid and you'll be set for a good start.

That's why I posted the kit from Valley View: 2-650mAh Twists, 2-clearos, charger and a polypro carto tank (carto included) for $50. I paid about $24-$25 each for my 1000mAh Twists alone.

I am looking at the first one you suggested but you said to get a couple clearos and I do not see them here. Was there something else or should I order them from another place.
